Elwen cursed inwardly as her captors bound her hands and relieved her of her weapons, pushing her towards Arandil and Aerin. Now the only one free was Silmeriel, and she could do little against so many enemies. She hoped the ranger would not attempt anything rash; if all of them were captured the small hope they had left would be completely gone. She was shoved down hard by the two easterlings who had caught her. As soon as they turned their backs she shifted closer to Aerin. "What do you propose we do now? The easterlings will give us little chance for escape. Must we leave it all to Silmeriel?" She saw the easterlings still scanning the brush, a score at the least. They evidently knew or suspected that there was another.

Silmeriel saw them, sweeping the brush methodically. She could either stay and be captured, or make her way through the tree branches and find her rangers and eventually save the others. She chose the latter, and crept off quietly, away from the Easterlings.

Naur cursed under his breath in the tongue of the East… Knowing that they were wasting time they did not have.
Before he could respond however, a voice called out for them to halt from somewhere in the dark.
“Please… We must go before it is too late.“ Naur whispered as he unsheathed his sword. Just as he did so, a lantern had been lit and a figure could be seen approaching them. He too had his weapon drawn.
“Malrid will be fine.” Naur repeated, beckoning for Alaria to climb up the rope.

Alaria looked at the rope, then at Naur. She then looked toward the figure whom was approaching them, then back at the rope. She then took a glance at the building, where Agrim and herself had been held as captives. With hesitation she started to climb, worried about Malrid. Would he survive?

Having been put at ease with the decision Alaria decided to make… Naur could now focus on the task at hand; which was to take out or at the very least distract this Easterling guard.
Stepping up to the guard he said in the Eastern tongue, “Is there a problem?”
The Easterling simply pointed toward the two prisoners, who by now were well on their way up the cliff.
“Oh… Them. Well, what are you waiting for? After them!” Naur replied turning with the guard to look at them scaling the cliff.
Agitated with Naur’s laid-back attitude, the Easterling began to run toward the cliff whilst shouting for the prisoners to come down. Just as he was about to shout for the second time he crumpled to the ground… Having been hit hard on the back of his head with the end of Naur’s sword.
Naur quickly walked back to the edge of the cliff and climbed up the rope, as he looked down he could see more Easterlings at the bottom of the precipice.
“Come… It will not be long until they send Easterlings out to find us.” Naur said while pulling the rope up, much to the anger of the men below.

Quickening the pace, they all walked in silence, trying not to make too much noise. It was obvious that none of them knew where they were going, not even Naur, who had possibly been in the area before. Even though he might have recognized it, it was too dark to tell. Alaria kept thinking about the rest of the group, hoping dearly, they all had survived. Her brother, Arandil. She just wished he was there. Elwen... she should never have left Elwen, Alaria couldn't help but blame herself for that. She knew Delusia would find her strenght. She was sure of it. The rest of the Elves... Airain, Elenanna, Morwen... She didn't get to know them well. Alaria sighed. She never liked the idea of Neal and Lithoniel coming along... And Aérin. She was cut off from the thoughts as someone spoke her name.

Silmeriel found her Rangers as the dawn broke. She was many, many miles from the rest, but confident that she could find them once more. "Mount up." she said. "They've been taken by the Easterlings."

Malrid woke in his cell to find he was lying in a pool of blood, not for the first time. He slowly rose to his feet and as he did felt an imense pain in chest. He coughed hard, spiting in between. He was sure he had broken a few ribs. As he got up to his feet he clenched his teeth through the pain and took a look around him. The cell was covered in darkness, the only light coming from a small bared window in the door. Clutching his chest he walked to the door and looked outside. There was a long hallway with torches lighting the way.
The sound of footsteps were growing closer. Malrid could just see a guard walking towards him. He wore barely any armour but carried a large batton. He was slightly taller then Malrid and his face showed his battle scars. Obviously an old soldier. His eyes were dark and showed his evil personality.
Malrid backed away from the window and heard the guard come closer. A key went into the lock and the door sung open, slaming against the wall with force. Light from the hall poured in and the guard became siloueted. Malrid squinted at the light and looked at the menacing figure. The batton came up and the guard repeatedly slapped it in his free hand.
"Food will be here shortly. But until then i am going to have some fun."
The guard grined and walked forward. Malrid raised a hand and fell back. The batton came down on him many times. The cries of Malrid mixed with the manic laughter of the guard.
It seemed to be an age before the guard stopped attacking him. The large guard left and another came in throwing a bowl of water on the dirty floor and some large breadcrumbs. Most of the water spilt and mixed with the fresh blood. The door closed and Malrid tried to drink the rest of the water. He groaned and whispered to himself "Why did i ever come?"

Silmeriel led her Rangers into the woods. They melted silently into the shadows as scouts ran ahead.
