Um, I think most people who're saying that actually have read the books. I read the books way before I saw the films but I still think it was the right decision to have Arwen there instead of Glorfindel. Though I did want to see him.

omg, I have really thought a lot about who could be a better Arwen, because I'm not so crazy about Liv Tyler... But I haven't really found anyone. Maybe Catherine Zeta-Jones, but ... I don't know, Liv is more naturally beautiful. Then maybe Natalie Imbruglia... Jennifer Love Hewitt is too american and too small, but very pretty.

I don't think Arwen would have had freckles though I suppose she could cover them up.

Liv did a wonderful job as Arwen. I see no reason to replace her.

Michelle Pfeiffer would have been a great Arwen... She did a movie in the 80s called Ladyhawke where she was definately etherial enough to pull it off. I totally agree. She has a strange, almost immortal beauty about her. I'm not sure if she could play Arwen though. Perhaps Galadriel? I personally think Liv did a great job. At first I hated her performance, but the more I watched, the more I came to respect her talents.

I like Liv Tyler as Arwen but other possibilities I can imagine as Arwen would be Monica Bellucci or Kristen Kreuk: But I still think Liv Tyler was perfect as Arwen.

I just don't like arwen being in the movie so much, period. I completely agree that peter jackson should have stuck with the books way more that he did. Don't get me wrong, i like the movies. Middle Earth was recreated perfectly and a alot of things were done right...but i say STICK TO THE BOOK. And Arwen at Helm's Deep -- I would have been very very mad if that was kept in the movie. Although i guess I would want to see it now...just to see it. lol. I think that Liv did a pretty good job though, even though i wish she wasn't there ;D. She had the natural beauty for the role. Catherine Zeta-Jones would have been too big of a name to be Arwen, and I just don't think that she would fit the role. After all of that, I'm done now

lmao, maybe I should. I just meant that she...I actually don't know. It's not like i think she's that pretty when I see her at premiers at stuff, but i think she looked like a good arwen in the movie. She's good at looking like she's naturaly beautiful with the right lighting and makeup I guess.
