I luv the soundtracks but there's alot of music that isn't on them. I really like the music that's playing when Sam and Frodo are on Mount Doom after the Ring has been destroyed and Sam is crying over Rosie Cotton. That music is really beautiful and I was disappointed that it wasn't in the soundtrack! Will there be extended soundtracks released?

Yes, I agree, that music is so beautiful... and heartbreaking... Becides that, I'd wish it had the complete music from the Ride of the Rohirrim.... as a huge Rohan fan, I actully found that part of the movie the most moving... And the music there is so triumphant... me likee. I heard that they were gonna make an extended soundtrack, but beyond that, I have no clue... I hope it's true!

I like Arwen's Song. It is really pretty. I like all of the music in LOTR.

I wish they had had Eowyn's Healing sung by Liv Tyler on the soundtrack.

Becides that, I'd wish it had the complete music from the Ride of the Rohirrim.... exactly! that's the most impressive version ,i think, of the rohan's theme. arwen's song is one of the bests for sure! i love that kind of "twisted" melodies But there is two part in fotr that makes me feel.. (i can't even find the appropriate adjective ) the music that plays after gandalf's leaving frodo and sam alone and when the hobbits were going to rivendell with strider. why they didn't add them to the soundtrack?!

I really wish they had put Arwen's Song, Eowyn's song, and Use Well the Days on the soundtrack, especially Use Well the Days. That's such a touching song!

Oh...Arwen's Song....I've composed two poems to that song. I'm a very artistic person, for those of you who do or do not know me, and that song...whenever I hear it..I begin to sing it and all these stories and pictures, songs and poems just pop into my head! It's a great song to get the creative juices flowing. And Use Well the Days....I don't think I can tell you how much I play that on the piano!!! It's in the piano books! Why not in the soundtrack?! The books came out straight after the movies and I never got to stay for the credits, I had no clue what the song was!! I like to play songs I know the tune to and I was extremely lost on this one. There are so many beautiful songs I can name and half have been named, (such as the Rohirrim song and the song when Sam is thinking of Rosie), so why aren't they in the soundtracks?! I hope hope hope hope hope there is an extended..if not...Who's willing to help me chase down PJ??

Oooo!! I'm with ya on that one fanaldear!! More of the Elvish..I want the song that the Elves sang in the EE FOTR on a soundtrack. "Gilthoniel Elebereth" I believe it was.

Yeah, you're right, Lady Rinuthiel. I also agree to chasing down the gifted musical genius Howard Shore. He is my inspiration and hero. The Rohan theme is one of my favorites. I play it on my violin all the time. I sooo wanted the music that plays when the Rohirrim is charging down to Minas Tirith to be on the soundtrack, too. I did a midi file of it on Nevrast by listening to that part over and over and over, but I've been thinking of editing it....I've also been trying to figure all that beautiful cello part that Amowiel was talking about--when Frodo and Sam are at Mt. Doom.

Use Well The Days? I don't think I have heard that song, can anyone give me a link to hear it?
And what instrument was the Rohirrim theme played on? In the special features on the EE Two Towers there was a violin looking thing but it was called some thing else.

You're right, it's definitely not played on a violin. I heard the Rohan theme was played on a Norwegian Fiddle, but I'm not 100% positive. They have the same basic shape as a violin, but are played differently and obviously produce different sounds.

Yep, the Rohan theme is played on the Norwegian Fiddle. I love it, it gives me shivers. I would love a complete soundtrack. Maybe even the entire movie! Though that would be about three or four hours...it would take quite a while to listen to the whole thing.
