Farimir, is my favourite. Especially in the books, he is so unbelievably uncorrupted by the ring. He says something along the lines of "I would not pick it up, even if it lay by the wayside". I think its amazing how even something "so small, which can have so much power", can have no effect over this man. I think he is an example to mankind. He takes all the abuse his father throws at him- but still he stays strong, his father hates him over boromir- and i think to be an unwanted child is the worst of it all. He does not want the victory, the glory of war- he is not egoistic, yet he is noble in the way that usually, only apparently war can make in a person, that nobility. And yet, even without war, he shows his "quality". His heritage also- being a numenorean, like aragorn. Thats great. And above all, Farimir seems so wise. As, in the book, Sam says to Farimir- that he sees a bit of Gandalf in Farimir.

Faramir because in both book and movie he has the power to refuse the ring even that he knew that this might was the only way to save Gondor... and by the way he's sexier than Boromir (David than Sean but I prefer Orlando )...

In TTT (book), he finds out about the Ring in Ithilien. He could kill Frodo and take it, but he does not because he knows his brother died becuase of it and that it can only bring about the downfall of the bearer.

thanks for that. I myself would never even think about killing Frodo even for my city because it's either the fate of my city or the fate of the world. I would rather go with the fate of the world.

Well, haha, not really. The only way they look the same is the same facial features, hair, nose, etc. My uncles lots older that Faramir, though.
