She smiled at this question, her eyes still looking onward as they walked down the cobblestoned streets.
" I do not mind at all, however you must repay me by answering a little question of mine.."
She had been thinking about this all night. About the sounds of death as swords clashed together, and the battle cries of a war long ago that touched her ears that night when she first met Sen. Her face was grim for a moment, because she was no stranger to these sounds, nor what came after.
Arching a brow, then shaking that thought out of her head, she proceeded to tell him her purpose for this journey.
" As I have said before, I am the Captain of a great fleet to the east.. My men and I had just claimed victory over a small battle against several hundred orcs.. A small battle. However, these were not like any orcs I have seen before.. They were bigger, stronger, and surprisingly more intelligent. You might be familiar with the name, " Uruk Hai." ...We did not manage to kill all of them, nor their leader, they retreated and we have not seen them since. Yet, this new breed surprised me.."
Her voice seemed to trail off into silence again, as the memory of that day was as crisp as yesterday..She continued..
" The next day, as we camped out in a small feild, I sent two scouts to check out the area. What they showed me still haunts me to this day... "A village.. butchered in the most brutalic way. Men, women, and children all outside their homes and staked to the ground with limb's from nearby trees. The houses lay in a piles of ash and rubble, and the ground.. scorched black. What is so morbid about this tragedy, is that they must have made those people watch their homes burn down, then, afterwords, they killed them...Killed them out of spite of their loss, no less. Do you know what it is like to see babies skewered four feet into the air..? This is why I must come here. Now, as for my question...What is your purpose, and tell me of that battle?"
She knew Sen knew what she meant by " that battle," that battle which she heared in the inn. She could see it in his eyes before he left the table last night. She looked over at him, her focus locked on nothing else but him.

*As Annwyn began to describe the events, the air around Sen began to crackle. Heat began to touch her face, but only on the side Sen was. As she finished, the heat died away slowly. As her eyes met his, a darkness was in them, a darkness that frightened even her. When he spoke, his voice was calm; not the calm of the absence of anger, it was the calm found on the other side of it.*
I do know such things. I know things far worse. Like watching your father and mother both tortured, mutilated, and burned to death before your eyes. To see a whole city wiped out, and the perpetrators laughing at you, as you take a stick to try to beat them off. As you watch the one you had been friends with all your life carried off to who knows what end. As they leave you, crying in your parents' ashes. As a demon of the deep, a Balrog, lashes you with his fiery whip again, and again, and again, for the sheer sport of it. As they leave you alive in your wounds and grief. Yet they made one mistake when destroying that city.
*Annwyn brought herself to ask what. Sen fixed her with a stare that burned past her flesh into her very soul.*
They let me live. I have come to warn the peoples of Middle Earth that Sauron has found a remnant of the armies of Morgoth far to the southeast; my city was the first to be destroyed. That is what I have come to tell the king.

She was silent for a long time, her thoughts so loud in her head that she heared not even her own footsteps as they walked, drawing closer and closer to the gates that seperated the two of them from the King himself. After a while, she turned her head towards him, her eyes fixing on his with the upmost sincerity and something else that could not be described.
" I am sorry for your losses, mine were great as well, however, I never knew my parents. That must sting your heart with a new pain I will never know.."
Over her short time of being with Sen, she had grown a great amount of respect for him, and she looked forward to fighting next to him in battles soon to come. and something told her she would be. Yet she yearned to know more of him. Learn of the places he had been and the people he had known; but Annwyn stayed mute, her pale face contorted in thought and a little bit of rage. It had been a long time since she had felt so many strong feelings at once. Her mind knew not to be either angry, sad, or just curious. She ended up with a mix of all three feelings, and the result was that she stayed quiet, half out of respect for Sen.

*Sen had not wanted to speak about his dark history, even to one who had seen the horrors of Sauron's army. The wounds still hurt him, the scars had never fully healed. Yet there were some things he kept secret, some things he must not tell until Gandalf bid him to. They walked up the final steps to the golden hall in silence, where a guard stopped them.*
The king has bidden me to disarm all strangers before allowing them to meet him. Will you surrender your weapons?
*Sen nodded, and drew out two of the three swords on his back, the bow and quivver, six daggers concealed about his person, and two hand blades up his sleeves. The third sword he jammed straight into the rock near the neat pile of his weapons; strangely, the rock around the sword melted, and held it in place. Sen returned to the guard.*
That is all. May we proceed?

Annwyn was not so lenient to the gaurds request. Never had she gone anywhere, even to bed ( When she did sleep..) without some form of weapon. Her brows furrowed with agitation, but she swiftly unsheathed her long sword that lay at her back, the blade singing as it cut through the air. Her eyes narrowed as she handed it over to the guard, her pride somewhat cut down, but she quickly replaced it with a look of pure angelic innocence. He did not buy it.
She sighed through her nostrils, more aggravated than ever, as she unsheathed two daggers that were hidden beneath her cloak at her thigh. It was then that the gaurd finally let them go on.
Annwyn was now feeling vulnerable, despite the fact that she managed to walk through with one last dagger hidden in her boot. When she felt vulnerable, she was more jumpy, and highly irritated. She tried her best however, to not let her mood interfere with her words to the King.

*Sen walked into the hall of the king, not entirely disarmed. He still had a few tricks up his sleeve, and various other items of clothing. He had removed only enough to placate the guards. At the far end of the room, the king sat on a throne of wood and gold, and he did not look well. Sen spoke to him.*
Greetings, king of the golden hall of Medusel. I bring news in this hour, and I request an audience with you.
(OOC: Shall we have Grima Wormtongue still here? He would make an interesting story...)

[ Yes, We need more action...]
What she saw did not please her. The King was hunched over in his throne, his skin a sickly pale color, and his eyes were not clear at all; a strange stench had filled the room as well, though it was not strong, Annwyn could detect it quite keenly. He panted as though it were hard for him to breath, and if he did not heave his chest so, Annwyn would have half thought him to be dead already.
Sen made his introduction first, and had requested an audience, for what reason, she did not know. Perhaps of the state of the King. Annwyn stepped forward, and bowed respectively.
" I too bring news, and it is of the East. I ..am Annwyn."
She stared transfixedly at Theoden, knowing from the moment she walked in that he was not in his own mind...From the corner of her eye, she looked at Sen, wondering if he knew this as well.

*Sen, too, saw this trouble with the king. He knew that all this evil was coming from somewhere, and, just then, he discovered the source. A man, pale, with black stringy hair, stepped out of the shaddows and knelt next to the king.* Your majesty, strange visitors come. They bring trouble with them, the woman and... sire, the man is evil. You should question him, and send him away as soon as you order, sire. *The king rasped out in his dry voice.* What buisness do you have here? What knews would you bring to trouble my ears? *The dark haired man smiled.* Evil news you now bring here, and evil is often bourne by evil. Why have you come to trouble an old man with your evils, one from the Southeast?

It was then as the snake-like man stepped forth from the shadows, that Annwyn knew from where the stench came. The foul odor of lies and deciet. She had seen this pathetic excuse of a man before, however their last visit was not so pleasant. He would not remember her, but his face was crisp in her mind as if she had seen him only a few moments ago.
Her jaw clenched slightly, eyes fixated on the man, a look of sheer distaste in them, as she listened to the words being spoken. She was compelled to thrust her dagger into his abdomen from her very spot, but she stayed still.

[OOC: I am truly sorry for not having posted for a while... I have two reasons and none of them can excuse that I just stayed away without even letting you guys know what I was doing. First I've been really busy lately and didn't think I had the proper time to make decent posts so I just didn't post at all and second I couldn't think of anything for Lothiriel to be doing.... I'm so sorry. Anyone has an idea to help me on?]

[OOC: Ohh, Annwyn, I'm glad to be back.... but 'somehow already be there'.... it's gonna be hard.... I mean you guys are inside Meduseld and with all those guards around.... I could enter Aragorn style...Lol, but nah...well, I'll see what I can do....]
Lothiriel stood up with a sudden move. She had lingered too long in the stable. Her mind had been wandering far that night, she had been contemplating.... The morning had come before she expected it, she could see the first rays of the sun through the little window and now she remembered everything.... the meeting the night before, the cloaked man and the mysterious woman, they had been speaking of the king! Lothiriel felt a sudden chill, something was about to happen. She hurried through the narrow streets to get to the Golden Hall.

( Yes yes, I'm so sorry. Pathetic lil me.)
Her face contorted with anger and disgust as she spoke to Wormtongue.
" You of all filth should know of evil, Grima. I'm not surprised to see that you are the cause of the King's sickness. Look how you have infected him with your lies!"
She pointed her index finger at King Theoden, now stepping forward.
" You must be working for Saruman, no less. A slave you are to him, and you have turned this poor man into your own slave."
Annwyn's rage grew with each word that came from her mouth, murder in her eyes...
( I'll leave you to play Grima, Sen? I hope this post was sufficient, if not let me know.)

[OOC: Think.... come on think.....use your imagination.... ok, I think I got an idea....]
Lothiriel reached the court yard of Meduseld. She knew the Golden Hall was well guarded, especially in uneasy times as this indeed was and she probably wouldn't be allowed to just burst into the hall. As a scout Lothiriel was used to blend in and find alternative ways in places where the obvious ones weren't accessable... She quickly walked to the kitchen. It was a hot, busy and bustling place. People were busy at two or three open fire places, others were chopping vegetables or baking bread. A broad man were yelling orders out. She heard him ordering drinks and snacks being taken to the King and two maids immediately stepped forth to carry the trays. Lothiriel swiftly jumped in, grabbed the last tray and followed the maids. They went up many stairs and through a long corridor and then came to the Golden Hall. Lothiriel had seen it once before but she was still amazed as she stepped in. King Theoden sat in on the throne but he looked far from the mighty king she remembered. He looked rather old and pale... almost sick and he did not move, his skin was pale and his eyes did not really look at anything. Lothiriel sensed the tensed atmosphere. The maids were waiting 3-4 metres (hmm... 5-6 feet I think) from the throne on the King's left hand. They still carryed the trays and Lothiriel were now able to see what was going on. Apparently the man and the woman from the inn were in a fight with.... Oh, sweet mother of Eru, that is Grima Wormtongue, she thought. Lothiriel had heard the rumours that Edoras in reality was not ruled by the king but by an advisor who had gained the king's confidence by manipulation. She kept in her place to find out more.
[OOC: Ok, not the brightest come back in history or the greatest post but at least I made it to the Golden Hall *feels miserable*]
