Finally coming upon an inn, Eoferth tied her horse up outside and entered. Dusk was settling in Edoras. There was a man at the entrance, embodied in his work. He was sitting at a desk with a large leather-bound book, writing something. "Excuse me," Eoferth said when the man did not look up. He took off his reading glasses and put down his pen. "May I help you?" "I'm looking for a room," she answered. With that she put a few silver coins on the desk. "Of course," the man said. He put the conins in a small sack. "Name please?" "I am Eoferth," she answered simply. After the man was done writing her name in the book he took out a key. "Right this way," he said as he rose from the desk. She was led upstairs to a small room that overlooked the streets of the great city. "Thankyou," she said as the man left the room. Eoferth took the sword that had been hanging off her belt and placed it gently near the nightstand. Going near the window, she stared at the setting sun. The people below were retiring to their homes for the night. Reaching into her pocket she felt a silver charm. With delight she pulled out a leather string in which a small silver Rohirric horse hung, surrounded by two elvish flowers. She smiled as she put it around her neck. Her mother had given her the charm when she was just a child. She smoothed her blue and brown dress and pulled back her light brown hair. With a feeling of content, Eoferth lay down on the small bed and was soon fast asleep.

[OOC: Thank you, Annwyn and good for I didn't mean to roleplay your character just respond to the info you had given But now I've got a problem. My character is stuck in Edoras and I don't have a clue to what she's gonna do there. I need some hints/ideas to where the story is going and I need you guys to interact with! By the way, Annwyn, I can see that you character is in the RP 'A Light in Dark Times' that seems to have a similar idea so I was thinking maybe to get the stories and characters to meet somehow (if the others agree). Personally I would think it to be easier to develop the story if we had just a few more charcters. What do ya'll think and Annwyn, it's your RP so I'll respect your decision ]The room was plain with just a bed on one wall and a small desk and a chair to the other side. Lothiriel didn't mind, she didn't plan to spend much time there. She was hungry and wanted to find a place to eat so she left her bow and quiver in the corner of the room, locked the room and went out in the bustling streets again.

[ OOC: I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!! Truthfully, I have not clue as to what my character is doing, and I still have not given her a name! How pathetic! Lol, anyways, I was going to see if my character would like.. go to Theoden while he is still under the shadow and like.. tell him of all the things that have been happening. But in the other Rp, I was given a better idea that ironically had something to do with this one. My other character there was going to try and get the Steward to like.. wake up and help Rohan. So..in a way.. these two girls are trying to get these rulers to help one another.. Odd, I didn't mean for it to happen. But yes, I totally agree!. And, I must apologize, I have writers block, so I can't post right yet. And YES Eomer, you are more than welcome to join! ]

[Uhm... really? Hmm, so how are we actually doing this? Are we mixing the stories (gonna be difficult because we'll be posting in two threads and your character can't be in two places at the same time, are we all crashing the other Rp (maybe you should talk to the guy that runs it!)? Anyways, I hope we can still use the posts from this Rp, because I'm getting really curious to get to know your charcters. I hope we get this worked out soon ]

Wow I have most definetly missed a lot! I was thinking that our characters should meet as well. Mine was going to Theoden for help against the wild men. I didn't really know where I was going to go from threre though, so I think our charaters meeting would be a good idea!

(OOC: I'll join, if that is okay with you all. I arrive here after my other thread in Gondor, lets just say that the talk with the Steward did not go so well. I'll still be posting on it until it is finished, however.)
*In the darkness, a solitary figure on horseback is not easily seen. Especially if that figure did not wish to be seen. It was thus that Sen came upon the capital of Rohan, Medusel. He was at the gates before the guards saw him. They shouted down a challenge.*
What brings you to Medusel, rider? Speak, or we loose our arrows in you!
*Sen smiled behind his black hood.*
Your arrows would not hit, I think. Yet I do not come here for war; merely to offer my services, and a warning, to your king.
*The guards were stopped for a moment by this response; such words weren't often heard.*
The king is at rest now! You may not see him.
*Sen grew tired of these guards. He needed to enter the city quickly, before unfriendly eyes marked his presence.*
Then I will stay the night in the inn. Surely the king is awake in the day? Open the gates, and let me in.
*The guards felt their limbs moving, while their minds did not will them to. The stranger's voice instilled in them a sense that his commands were not to be questioned. They opened the gates, and the solitary figure rode in. They looked at him as he came in; no face visible under the dark hood. Their eyes slid off his cloak like water off stone, and settled again, this time on his horse. Breeds of this nature were not often found in Middle Earth; at least not outside the service of Sauron. Most black horses had been taken by the enemy, yet here this stranger was, riding the most magnificent black warhorse they had seen. They sensed, too, that he was not in the service of the enemy, though he was cloaked in black; he did not want to be observed by friend or foe, and traveled therefore in darkness. He led his horse to the stables, and after seeing to him, found his way to an inn, where he sat down in the far corner, ordering a strange drink; apple juice; not often ordered where there was beer or ale available. He whispered a strange song as he drank, observing the people in the inn.

[OOC: Alright, welcome Sen and Eomer! After this little intermission, I'll try to pick up on the story. By the way, we need to coordinate the times of the day, so far we've had very short days and especially if we get more characters we'll have to wait for everyone to post ]Lothiriel drew her hood, making it cover her long, dark hair and made her way to the market in the center of the city. Here were all kinds of people selling everything imaginable. She passed a couple of stalls with beautiful crafted flutes in the image of a running horse, she was bid to buy all kinds of ceramics, and then when she walked two steps further another man would ask her to have a look at his delicious sausages. With a smile she refused the offers and made her way to a small stall with freshly baked bread. A tall middle-aged man with a huge beard and a friendly smile was selling flat bread to a costumer. Lothiriel waited patiently til the man was done. "And what can I get you?" he asked turning to her. "Bread for the hungry and hope to the weary", she said letting her hood fall back. "You?" he cried out, then bursting out in a laugh. "Yes, Eadwine, it is me and I send you greetings from my home", Lothiriel answered happy to see her old friend again. "It's been a while now, come in, come in, my friend and let me hear news" Eadwine said almost dragging her into the low house behind the stall. A woman greeted her with a big hug. "Eadfrid", she said hugging the woman tight. "I'm so happy to see you". Lothiriel had known Eadwine and Eafrid since she came to their bakery the first time she visited Edoras. They were the most loving and friendly people and over the years a strong friendship had grown between them. Lothiriel spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening talking to them. When she returned to the inn she hardly recognized the place again. People were crowding in there and the atmosphere was good. Lothiriel slipped in and found a free table in the corner.

[ Okay, lets say its about..six thirty? Seven? ] It was getting dark, and there was no way she would be able to see the King at this hour. She decided to head back to the inn, have some sort of supper, then retreat to her room until dawn.
People began to head into their homes, and shops began to close up. Street lamps were lit, though they did a poor job of lighting the road for they were so dim. Stars soon appeared in the dark blue sky. One by one. Reaching the inn once more, she opened the tall wooden door, stepping head on into a wall of warmth and the smell of a new traveller... She looked at the cloaked man from the corner of her eye, and continued to walk to the main counter. Words were spoken, and soon she had her supper. A wonderfully tall goblet filled to the brim with hot apple cider and rum.
She carried it quietly over to an open table next to a wall, nearest the fireplace at the end of the room. Setting the goblet down, she slowly pulled down her hood, revealing ebony silk-like hair that reached down to the small of her back, and a pale angelic face. She kept her eyes locked down on her goblet, acting as if the contents were of some interest to her, and occasionally sipped from the steaming hot sweet liquid, relishing its taste.
The fireplace cackled heartily behind her, casting a glowy light from behind her form and onto the wooden floorboards of the inn. She kept silent, wondering if anyone else was going to be venturing into the inn.. So far, it was just her and the other cloaked stranger...

OOC: Which time zone? Or is it by the board's time?
*Sen noticed the new person come in, though his eyes did not drift from his cup. He saw her sit down by the fire, and remove her hood. It was indeed strange times, to see elves in an inn of men. Yet it was for those times that he had come, and brought his message to the people of Middle Earth. Time went by, and he finished his drink. A waiter came up to him and offered to refill his cup, but he respectfully declined. She left, and he sat back, his face still in the shadow of his hood. He began to sing a song, softly, so Ea and Annwyn could barely hear it. It was a sad song, though the words were of a language neither of them knew.* Daedal nen saren el, tuenen solien faesul nientel. Hil'nen hal maen faesor ialeth tael, surin maenhel aleth tae'vael.

[ OOC: My browser is screwing up so, my apologies for not using my usual font. And uhm.. six thirty or seven at night? lol]
After a while of complete silence, a voice barely audible broke through the air and reached her ears. It was the voice of the cloaked man who was singing, though in a language that was strange to her ears. Her zealous eyes averted from her goblet and gazed softly yet inquisitively over at the man from her table, listening to the words and how they drifted in a beautifully melancholy way, transfixing her. Her eyes fixed on him, as if he was the only one in the room, being put under a spell. She had always loved music, yet for some reason, she was more charmed by that song, then any she had heared for a long time.
Her brows furrowed and she looked off into the distance as if deep in thought, that song bringing back old memories from long ago, that seemed clear as yesterday.

*Sen went silent as his meal came, and he began to eat. Even though it was obvious he was very hungry, he ate with impecable manners. Manners that belonged in great halls, along with the song he sang. Yet here he was, in worn travel clothes, in a small inn. He seemed out of place, yet right at home in the wilds of Middle Earth.*

[OOC: What happened to Menneleth and Eomer? I need some action.....well, maybe not action, but some kind of story then.... What is the meaning of life...? Oh well, that's another discussion.... Should I join the other RP instead if this one is dying? *despairs*
By the way, sorry for not roleplaying in this post, but I'm afraid Lothiriel might be doing something out of her way if I let her ]

Very quietly, she stood up from her table, and crossed the room to where the man sat, who was now enjoying his meal. She knew it would be rude to interrupt, but she set aside that thought, and decided to just do it anyway.
She reached his table, and pulled out one of the wooden chairs opposite him, turning it around backwards, and sitting down, she smiled coyly at him. " Pardon my intrusion, I am called Annwyn. May I ask if it is not to bold, who you are, and what your business is here?"
