I cried... although it was partly because I'd finished Lord of the Rings and was devestated...

None of the above. I was content he would finally find peace. I found it a good end after all the misery he had been through. And I didn't cry either. Call me cold-hearted, but I'm not the type to cry over a book (only once in my life) or a movie (very very sporadic) (is that a word in English?).

I was a bit suprised. I saw the movie before I read the book, so at the part when Gandalf was saying goodbye to the hobbits and they kept showing, I was like "Okay, what's up with him? Something's up! He ought to be crying th worst about Gandalf leaving." Then when Gandalf turned and said "It's time Frodo!" I thought "NOooooooooooooo!" That's wrong!" Especially when they showed Sam, and he was SO sad, and teling Frodo he couldn't leave. I was totally booohooing! And not just the first timeI saw the show either. And I felt so torn after I left the theater. I was so saddened by it all. But then when I thought about how Frodo was passing over to VALINOR, a place of peace and happiness, where he could be rid of all of the pain he had gained from his quest, he needed that, big time. So I was like "Well, yeah. Good for him...that he'll finally be at peace and happy....but POOR Sam! Poor Sam!" I though, why couldn't Tolkien have just made it different in some way so that Frodo could've been truly happy and at peace in the Shire, and then he wouldn't had to leave poor Sam. And it was even sadder when I watched the FOTR again, and I saw how happy Frodo was, and then I started thinking, "The poor little guy. He doesn't EVEN know what he's about to be in for." And then it was even sadder because after all of his sacrifice he couldn't become happy FULLY again, like his buddies were able too, he was scarred by the quest, his hurts that went too deep, that had taken hold. But, in the end how I felt was bittersweetish about Frodo, and REALLY sad for Sam that he had to be seperated for the rest of his life from his really CLOSE buddy. Good thing he had a family though! I know they made him happy. So..should I still vote, since I was suprised and I cried? I have two usernames, I could vote both. Or should I just not?
