Rilen looked up sadly at Keaghan and smiled. "My horses were taken by this lady who wants them back. And she's using them for lawn ornaments. Well anyway, my boyfriend is bringing this new horse by, but I don't want her. I'm going to a horse show thing today, but people aren't competing. They are showing their horses so people will buy them, and I guess I'm getting a few today. Mom says she doesn't want to stir up trouble with Kim....Kim is not nice at all. Mom also says we'll move on...that's not true. But whatever, life can't be worse and I have to get over it." Rilen held her head in her hand and tears fell down her cheeks.

The next morning, Kayde got dressed in a pair of jeans and an old t-shirt, pulled on her boots and headed down to the stables. She saw her friend Rilen crying and immediately rushed over to her. "Riles, you ok?"

Rilen looked at Kayde and smiled. "Notice anything? Shania an Ex are gone." Rilen wiped her running eyeliner and lowered her head. She immediately looked up when she heard her mom's pickup rumble on the rocks. She stood u and waved to Kayde. _______________________________________________________________________________________
"Well, we're here, Riles. Get out and go look. Call me on my cell...you know what to look for." Her mom smiled. Rilen got out and started looking along the rows of horses. One horse looked at her with what seemed like a lot of interest. She went over and stroked his face. "How mu--" She stopped because she would be interuppting.
"Well, what he's capable of is a different matter....He's for $4500, what he can already do...not much." The sales lady smiled at thee customer. "Excuse me, he's for $4,500?" Rilen asked hopefully. "Yes, Dear. Well, you look like you've been riding. I see you in your jeans and boots...There's tack right here. If you want to try him, I'll come out with you and you can give him a try." The lady said. "I'm Jenni by the way." Rilen smiled and called her mom.

Rilen led her mom over to Petey. "Isn't he gorgeous?" Rilen whispered to her mom. Petey was all tacked up and was ready to be ridden. She led him out to a vacant arena and mounted. Petey walked forward slowly, and she pressed her legs on him. He seemed to be lazy. She kiced him harder, and he picked up a trot.
