i correct them immediately but when people mix up Sauron and Saruman or something like that, I get really wild and they have to run for their lives.

Agree with Melian. They can do it once, but if they do it again.....
My brother's loves to annoy me this way. He taken to calling Rivendell "Rivensmell" and it drives me insane!!!

Lol, I try to correct them, in a polite way, but it can really get on my nerves. You do not know how many versions of the name Aragorn I hear! Arathon, Eragon (??), Aragon, ect.  It drives me insane! My sister always calls Sean Bean Sheen Bean to get on my nerves.  But when people mix up Merry and Pippin they better be running. ;D |

The one who carries the bloody Ring! That should be easy to remember because the movie title has the words 'Lord of the Rings' in it... Emphasize the word RING. |

Whenever I hear 'Aragon', I correct them immediately and telll him his full name... aka all of his names and titles. They learn to never say it wrong again ^^

Unfortunately, I don't know all that many people who like LotR besides through online people, so I don't have that many mistakes to correct.

I correct them right away, usually quite fiercely. Then they say "Spaz!" or "Whatever". It annoys me, though, when they say "Aragohn" or "Legoliss" or just "That guy"!!

I know exactly what you mean. It's especially annoying when people pretend to knwo something of LotR and then mix up the names...

I usually correct them, but it's not like it's a big deal or anything... I mean I would mix up names of people or place of their hobbies too, so

Yes, that's true. But often they SAY they know something about LotR... I never say I know something about it, because there are still lots of things I don't know. When people talk about it I say I'm a LotR addict, not an expert.
