I got the Fellowship of the Ring game for xmas a couple of years back, with TTT. The Fellowship game is based on the book, which annoyed several fans cos they thought it was based on the first film. Its fun to play, but some of its harder. I mean, you have to do these mini quests and kill wargs as Frodo with a walking stick, give the deeds of Bag End to the Sackville-Bagginses, and other stuff. It is good, but only if you don't want to constantly kill orcs, and enjoy the books. (I got bored of it, but when I finished TTT I went back, and I completed it...its great fun! Nazgul are harder on this game!)

It doesn't suck. I have it and love it as a first-person run-around type game. It's a little straightforward, in that you can't really approach any of the gameplay from alternative angles, but it was made like that so kids could play it with more ease, a bit like the way the first Harry Potter game for PC is (but this beats it by 100%). If you're not the type of gamer that enjoys this genre of game, then it might not be for you. If you can get it cheap, then grab it! It's also better for machines that aren't as powerful, ie. it runs on mine (slowly), while because of my video card, Hobbit, RotK, TTT, Battle for Middle Earth, and War of the Ring won't work at all! Not even the demos work *sigh* It's cool for book fans that might appreciate the fact they use Glorfindel at the Ford of Bruinen, The Old Forest, Tom Bombadil & Goldberry and the Barrow-wights near the start... Of course, there is plenty that is added but it's quite fun nonetheless.

If you havent read the book, you should defenitely do that first, I personally like it, but it is EXTREMELY difficult, especially when you try to get past the raiths, it is so hard!! but if u want to try it go ahead, someone elses opinion shouldnt determine what u like, or try, it should be your opinion
