I heard that Christopher Lee was pretty mad about his part being cut from RotK. I myself was disappointed by it also, I think it should have been left in. I mean, the lines are straight from the book (most of them anyway) and I thought it was a really cool scene

Well, I don't really blame him. I was wondering what happened to Saruman in the third movie. It was silly that he was cut.

Yes, it is, but it is still a cool scene Except that his death is really gruesome

Well... if his part in the third movie was left, ROTK would be too long...

ya i agree they put him back in buttttt..... the scene is wrong he dies in hobbiton I know, but since they decided not to include the scouring of the shire, they couldn't have him die in hobbiton

Well, all they really needed to do was turn it into six movies instead of three (notice in the books the three volumes are divided into FOTR has book 1 &2, TTT bks 3&4, ROTK books 5&6) and then they wouldn't have had to change anything.
But anyway, yes, it was rather dissipointing that his scene was cut. I understand why he was so upset. It left a rather empty spot. I'll betcha people who didn't know better wondered what happened to Saruman...

Christoper Lee is a die hard Tolkien fan, he met with Tolkien, he has a right to be mad about PJ changing his frined's book which he dearly loves
