Well, Wood was a much better actor, and he had a major part. Bloom was there, not really a major character, but he provided some great action scenes in the movies. IMO, Wood did a great job. No doubt. Bloom, although a great actor, really didn't have that much to do in ROTK except kick major butt. He had, what, 10 lines tops? Thing is, Bloom does most of his own stunts, when not a CG character.. lol. Great guy. Plus he likes Captain Blood. Good fencing movie! Also, he was in POTC, one of the best movies ever. Lucky guy.. But he will be known for his work in LOTR, no argument!

I think Elijah Wood did do a really great job in LOTR. I think he really worked well with Sean Astin and they had a great connection on camera. Orlando Bloom didn't have that big of a part, true, but he is still a great actor. I thought he was great in POTC, though Johnny Depp kinda ruled the screen in that... Wood was great as Frodo and I think he really got into it (though I think the best actor in LOTR was Viggo Mortensen, he was outstanding!)

I think Elijah Wood did a great job in this movie. He, most definately, was the perfect person to play Frodo. The scenes with him and Sam (Sean Astin), we awesome, and very ... very ... sad! LOL! His eyes sure did bring a lot of expression to his character too ... whoa ... lol.
Orlando Bloom did a great job in LOTR's too. Perfect guy to play Legolas (and to think he didn't even audition for Legolas at first). He really didn't have many lines in ROTK, nor the other two movies. But, like the other girl said, he had some pretty awesome battle scenes. I think that he was better in POTC. He had more lines and such, which I think really showed people what he could really do. He admits that all he had to do was stand their and look pretty in LOTR's ... he knows he didn't have to do much. LOL.

Orlando Bloom is a talented actor, but I feel most people like him because of his appearance. Elijah Wood, I feel, is more talented (with a bit more experience), and it comes out in Lord of the Rings. I wasn't very pleased with his acting in the Two Towers, but he made up for it in RotK.

I'm quite annoyed on both of them. Oh, well, not really annoyed, they just irritate me a bit. My favourite role of all roles Orlando Bloom has played Rentboy's my favourite. Yeah, I am strange. He's almost a whole minute on screen. His performance in PotC is OK, I guess, but defiantly Johnny rules the screen. Elijah Wood I haven't got any comments on, because I have seen him in only LotR, but I really hate those scary eyes. *shivers*

I totally agree with you. His eyes are freaky! But, Orlando is the better of the two, DUH! lol And I don't just like him because of his appearance, he is truly talented!

I think Elijah is the best actor out of the two. Orlando is OK, but I just don't really like him, dunno why. I do think that Orlando should've had a few more lines in ROTK tho. My fave actors are Billy and Sean. Sean was so great as Sam and Billy was just how I pictured Pippin.

well, i absolutely hated the idea of wood playing frodo when i first heard about it. i thought it was a horrible idea and couldnt possibly work.
and then i saw the movie. and i was wrong. i cant believe how well it worked. although for all his talent i prefer sean over elijah. i think he nailed sam better than any other actor could have.
but you know... the more i think about it, the more i think that andy as gollum was the best actor in the whole darn thing. especially after watching all the extra stuff on gollum in the dvd set. that man is truly amazing.
and now i guess i should mention orlando... hmmm... well. he is pretty. and he was definitely made to play an elf. and i probably couldnt think of anyone else better to play legolas. but a better actor? i dont know, i havent seen him pull off any incredible roles so far. but then again ive only seen him in the two movies. so he hasnt really had the opportunity to impress. he had very few lines in lord of the rings, and pirates of the carribean was just too much of an actiony pirate movie to show any awesome acting in my opinion. at least when compared to lord of the rings.
dont get me wrong, i liked his performances in each. but i wouldnt say he is better based on those performances alone.
holy crap... i just thought of something. what if johnny depp had played tom bombadil???
