This is cool! My neighbours have someone staying with them right now. His name is Sam and he's from New Zealand. He submitted music to LotR! He didn't make it, but Peter Jackson called him personally to tell him so. Sam said PJ seemed like "A nice bloke". It's awesome!
Anyone else know someone who had a remote connection to the movies?

Yep, I met him! I wanted to talk to him, but I was really shy, and my parents were standing there and I felt stupid. He wasn't really involved in the movies--but he has a connection with them! He said that he was about a half hour from where they were filming Hobbiton!

Wow! He's really lucky! I can only hope that my brother gets this job in New Zealand so I'll have an excuse to visit there. That's just about the closest I'll ever get.

I've only talked to him once so far! See, I'm so shy, and also my parents were standing right there, and I always feel stupid being all LotR-y around them. But I can't wait to talk to him again!!

The only connection I have with the movies, are Dutch people who worked at things like hobbit feet. ^_^ (But I've never met them)
