I agree with Tulcakelume......you can obviously see that this site is a spoof.
It's meant to be humourous, but everyone just freaks out...
I think the site is actually sort of funny, seeing how they're making fun of people who criticise LOTR.
And, although LOTR and Harry Potter are both fantasy works, there are few similarities about them. You can say JK Rowling stole the wizard idea and the big spider idea from JRR Tolkien, but she DID come up with a completely new world. Tolkien took ideas from other stories, too. Although I'm not a fan of HP, I'm grateful that it has gotten millions of kids to read when they would otherwise be sitting on their arses watching TV.
Yes, LOTR does has its faults. I admit that. You all should, too....nothing is perfect. You can't just blindly follow one idea without thinking of some arguments others could use against you.
But LOTR by JRR Tolkien is pretty darn good, and LOTR by Peter Jackson is OK, and I've got to admit that, too.

lol as an avid LOTR fan this person totally seems like an ignorant fool, you just cant help but shake your head and want to sit them down and gently explain to them THAT THEY'RE A COMPLETE IDIOT lol nah...
I can see how it would really piss some people off, as weve seen allready in the previous posts,
But the thing you've all gotta really wise up to is the fact that no matter how great, and how awe inspiring something may seem to you, there is wallways going to be someone out there who will hate it and will ridacule you for liking it..... Its all a matter of being able to take the criticism, learnt from it, and not let yourself be caught up with it
*sticks pins in voodoo doll of the person whote wrote it* no Im not mad lol j/k j/k j/k

I just think the guy is trying to get some attention by slamming one of the most popular storys. It annoyed me when I first read it, but just take it as a joke now. I was gonna forgive the guy until I read the appology (expecting him to say he really meant no harm) but he basically said we were fools, in so many words. But we're the wise ones right? ;D

That was really funny! I read the matrix one too, hehe. He is very clever, and it certainly boosted the hits he was getting.

On the list it said: Gold: The Stretchy Element.
The ring, which is seen to be at least two inches in diameter at the beginning to fit the polish sausage-sized finger of Sauron, suddenly fits Frodo's child-sized finger later. I guess this movie takes place in a world where rings magically change sizes on their own.
And that fool did not understand, LotR is magical, the ring did change shape!

Man, thank you for the information! I will never visit that site! What an idiot! Just because you don't like a film, you don't have to make sites of how bad it is!!

That site is so stupid! They had better've been joking......the 'One Trilogy to Rule them all' thing was really stupid too. This bit espeshly got on my nerves, 'American civil rights activist Martin Luther King, in his famous 1968 speech, pleaded to "let freedom ring" across the land, "ringing" in a new era of racial harmony. In Bakshi's film, we have that very "ring" in our hands, the "ring" of freedom and racial equality, the "ring" that will let every white and black child play with race-blind eyes. Frodo's mission is to destroy the ring. The Orcs are to be wiped out, not integrated into society. The elves are to slowly die off, not to be merged with the world of man. You look for the central symbolism and story theme of these films and I say we find it here. Let freedom ring, Dr. King. Let freedom ring, from the hills to the valleys, across the countryside. Let freedom ring, until a midget melts it in the fires of Hell itself. ' I mean, 'integrate the orcs into society'? If we did that, there wouldn't be a society. Everybody would be dead! And the Elves are not 'dieing off', their leaving! Sheesh......
