My obcession with Lord of the Rings began when I was about 5 years old, when my wonderful dad, read it to me as a bed time story, of course, the rest Is history... I work in an Organic Health Food Store, which I adore greatly, (just ask MontanaBohemian ) I am 17 years old, I'll be turning the big 1-8 on April 23. *steps up to the stage and bows majestically* Greetings one and all... my name is Túrin. Dunno if I really have a evil moderator name, i go by many names... I have the unenviable task of keeping a handle on these crazy 'yins... Just kiddin... don't think ANYONE could control them! I'm one of the elders... 20! *walks around with a cane* i'll be 21 on April 28th. I'm not religous... suppose by default i'm a christian but I don't believe in religion. Nor do I follow politics either... it's either too controversial or just too plain confusing. i've been a tolkien follower since i was 8... seems so long ago! I'm a keen fantasy roleplayer... LOVE the Final Fantasy games!!! if you're ever looking for me then the RPG forum is always a good place to start. hmmm... *thinks*... I'm Scottish! I only know one other person here who's from Scotland so we're a bit of a rarity... but we're nice enough... promise! hmmm... guess that's all folks. *looks around for any other mods kicking about* *looks back to crowd* Namarie! *bows and exits, almost slipping on pieces of Cake!*

Thweep! I like K-pop better, I must admit. Any of you heard of a band called BoA? They're amazing. Well, the lead singer is, anyway. Ayumo Hamasake is brilliant, too. And because this is a moderator introduction thread I thought of another one for you, Kitoky - 51. Won moderator of the month award!!

Why thank you :} I didn't even think of that...>.>
Yesh, I know BoA - they sang Duvet. Very good song. Ending theme of Serial Experiment Lain.
I think Ayumi Hamasaki is a bit overrated...her songs are okay but I've never really gotten addicted to any of them.

Suilad il'er. *peeks around the edge of the stage quietly* My name is tindomerel (the daughter of twilight) but that's a mouthful so call me "tin" if you like.
I have the undefined honour of being the eldest mod here and no not sharing how ancient.. Okay i'm in my mid-20's and even more evilishy than that to some of You...*looks around for a place to hide then whispers*... i'm a teacher. I teach 4th-6th grade & currently am reading The Hobbit to my homeroom class (they love it of course!)
I am from the USA & like a few other mods I too am a Christian. I have been a fan of LotR for 7 years now & have read the Trilogy and Hobbit each 3 times (working on # 4 with the Hobbit) My students (eeep i have 120 this year) often come to me with questions about LotR or with new fan paraphernalia they find.
Okays enough of my babbling... *tosses out fresh choco-chip cookies and passes round hot cocoa since it's all of 14 degrees F and snowing here today* brrrr..stay warm all, have a lovely day!! Namarie mellonamin

Ayumi Hamasaki, yesh. Overrated. I love Malice Mizer! Ayumi Hamasaki and Megumi Hayashibara are the two that are a bit overrated due to the fact that they sing way too many songs and they stress their voice out too much =/ Okay, we better stop discussing this since this IS mod introductory...=/

Hi everyone I'm Elanor ;D I would be the slow mod having taken 6 days to find this thread I've been coming to this forum since just about when it opened a year ago. I was made a mod back in october. I'm 18 I'll be 19 in April which sounds quite ancient (though quite as old as Tin ) I'm the other Scottish person that Turin's talking about (at least I think I am) and he's right, we are nice. I'm at university doing English Literature, Philosophy and Computing. As you might guess from the fact I'm doing English I love reading. I have lots of favourite authors including Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Jane Austin and Philip Pullman. I also love films. I try to go to the cinema 3 times a month to I can get the use of my cinema pass. The last film I saw was A Very Long Engagement which is a French film set in the first world war. It was really good. As you might already know I love Johnny Depp I've seen most of his films but I think my favourite was Finding Neverland. I read Lord of the Rings when I was 11 almost exactly 7 years ago from now. When I first read them I remember looking on the internet for websites about them and not finding much, I would have loved to find a site like this then. I do remember also seeing rumours about a film going to be made and thinking it would probably never happen lol Dispite having read the books far before I saw the films I am not a Tolkien Puriest. I think I good film that captures the spirit of the book is more important than keeping the details constant. Like most of the other mods here I'm Christian but I don't believe in many of the traditional ideas in Christiany and the church. I am also becoming more and more interested in politics and love to discuss political ideas or ideas about anything - I am doing philosophy after all. I think that's about it for the moment... anymore moddies still to come?

*looks wounded* aaaw What about me?? You forgot me?? *pouts* .....*bursts into laughter* Ok so I havent been here for awhile....uh minor tenchnical invconveniance of not having a computer or interenet access.....this i plan to rectify by breaking into the white house stealing the presidents laptop then attaching a wire to the big phonline outside my house, and hopefully not getting electrocuted ....or not lol Hmm what should i add? ((two plus two is four)) Ok somebody poke me that was really lame Anyway, Im almost in my last year as a teen, in three weeks ((March 24)) Ill be another number older, and then I wont be able to use the excuse, 'I can be reckless and make stupid mistakes, I'm a teenager" ill have to start using the "Im going senile" excuse instead, lol *looks at te mods older than her* I kid, I kid *holds up hands defensivly* Please dont hurt me with your canes *innocent face* Yup as you can figure, Im not one for taking life too seriously, ((unless the situation calls for it)) Im an Aussie that likes to take life as it comes and laugh at all its slip ups...........like yesterday when I was running in slip on shoes and accidently tripped over while one was falling off and landed in a rose bush........laughter is the best cure for everything, seriously, If you have a sore finger, place it on your nose, look at it by going cross eyed and see where that leads you..........*wonders how many people will actually do this without having a sore finger in the first place* oops i just broke the little ribbon off my singlet top, *makes little whimper noise* aaaw it was pretty too *throws ribbon on the floor* bugger it, meh, top only cost me $1 lol *gets over the top breakage* I guess to describe me in one word would be ....."Random" lol Im the technicolour sheep in the pack of moderators *imagines what that would look like and laughs* well I should stop wasting everyones time and let you get back to the main entertainment, have a goodnight/evening/shindig/hoodnaddy all *makes peace sign and wanders off in search of cheese*

Hi everyone! So sorry it took me so long to post this. Anyway, I'm Alatariel. I think I was probably one of the first mods so I'm old. Like ancient. There's not to much interesting about me...ummm....I love LotR (Obviously!) and ummmm....I love my moderator job and I love Arwen and all the mods and I love all the members. ;D I'm obsessed with giving people huggles (on the internet and off). Sometimes I smile way to much and people think I have something wrong with me. And umm....I'm an elf and I live in Ithilien. I hope to get to know each and everyone of you! ;D Huggles!!! *huggles everyone* Love, Alatariel

Well, unlike some people who have posted here, I'm glad to see that many of our Mods are Christians. The first day I joined this site I could tell something was different about it. I now know what. I'm not a Mod...yet, but I just thought I'd support my fellow believers!
