Well hello everyone! This thread is for the moderators to post so you can get to know us better. ;D We're not really mean, as some people may think, if you're good we're nice! So here it is.
I am Elvawen, my evil moderator name when I'm in "mod mode" is Shelob. I'm eleven, just about twelve, I live in NY, and I've been a moderator since January 2003. I've loved Tolkien for four years. So, my mod friends, introduce yourself! *pushes other mods up to the thread*

You do a brilliant job of moderating here aswell!

Bravo, Elva! Great idea! *steps up to microphone* Hello! I'm Ivreniel, or Ivy for short. I am a Christian. My evilishy mod-mode name is Mouth of Sauron I love using smilies I am a native Californian who grew up in the deep South and is moving to the Southwest in a month or so I'm 21, or will be on Valantine's Day, and have been a moderator since last fall. About me, myself? Well, I've loved Tolkien all my life, though alas! he was shadowed by Laura Ingalls Wilder for many a year My favorite books apart from Tolkien are Lord Peter Wimsey, Till We have Faces, CS Lewis' Space Trilogy, Milton's Paradise Lost, Jane Eyre, and GK Chesterton's Man Called Thursday. I A-d-o-r-e Sam and Faramir, I think they're the most noble and wise characters, don't you? ;D And of course, who wouldn't say David Wenham is handsome? Not I! Apart from that, I love making friends more than anything else. People are my passion, and though I can be shy, I'm happiest around them. Shopping is fun, and I love listening to music. Tolkien Ensemble, Josh Groban, Mozart, Bach, Mendelsen, and Verdi top my list I bake a lot of cakes and bread, I knit and embroider, I love mountains and hiking, dogs and frogs, pretty clothes, and gardening. On TV I enjoy watching horse and auto racing, Opera, Figure Skating.

Céad míle fáilte romhat! My name is Rumil, or when in evilish mordorater mode: Khamul. I have no age, for I am classic. But I'm older then Elva, younger then Ivy. Sort of in-between. I'm an Irishman, I come from the area of Kerry and Cork. " The Kerryman is strange and distant and the Corkmen are the rebels." Aside from my Irish-ness, I speak pretty fluent Japanese. Japan and Gaelic are the two most beautiful languages for me. I'm a true pessimist, and I don't like to be around people. That explains me spending hours on the internet. Tolkien, literature, Final Fantasy, Role Playing, anime, CG animation, Tim Burton...All my passions. I'm a freak for Jesus, and proud of it. I'm not athletic, except for hockey. Basketball is my sworn enemy. I'm quite random and very very very....sane. ;D Just ask Nienor. ::poke::

Oh, yeah, she's sane all right...*cough* Hey, I'm Nienor! As yet, I have no evilishy mod name, I'm 15, and I hail from the northeastern United States. I go to a small private school, but I homeschooled for four years before that. About myself...uhh... Well, I'm a Christian. I love books and reading. Before I read The Lord of the Rings, (which was exactly a year ago, I'm ashamed to say!) I loved the Redwall books, by Brian Jacques. I also like The Cat Who..., Mrs. Polifax, and countless other series. I'm very much an intrevert, and a pessimist to boot, so I often go by the name of a certain paranoid android whom we all know and love.. If I come up with anything else interesting, I'll update. Great to have new members, hope to see you around! **edit** Well, THAT was fast. Less than a minute later. I love the outdoors! Where I live we have a lot of trees, and snow in the winter...Cross country skiing is awesome. I have a younger brother on the forum, he goes by the name of Radagast! Great kid.

Hello, all! I'm Thenidiel, or Theni for short. My evilish moderator name is Ygraine. I'm 15, from the GA, I'm a Christian, and I've been a mod since...well, I don't remember the exact date, but it was some time in 2004. I've been a fan of Tolkien for a few years now (thanks to my mom, who made me read the books ), and my favorite characters from the books/movies are Glorfindel, Elrond, and Eowyn. Besides my obsession with Tolkien, I also love Star Wars, Pride and Prejudice, Eragon, The Princess Bride (movie and book), and classic rock music (YAY FOR QUEEN! ;D). Some randomness about me: I'm a teenage girl who doesn't like shopping or talking on the phone. Oh, and I also have a fear of ocean-life, due to a traumatic IMAX experience when I was about 7 or 8.

Post by Tulcakelumë Herumaethor on Feb 13, 2005 17:03:15 GMT -5
*stands up cautiously* 'ello, my name is Tulcakelumë Herumaethor... which is actually probably too long for a forum name, so y'all can go ahead and call me Tulcake, Tulca, Tulk, The Tulk, or Cake. Concerning the y'all: yes, I have the authority to say that. I'm from the midwest United States... no, the midwest is not the Indiana/Kentucky area. That would be the mideast. The midwest is the middle... ah well, I guess I'm just digging myself into a bit of a hole. Wherever the midwest is, I'm from Nebraska. Yeah. Nebraska. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. I'm actually quite fortunate in that I live on the very eastern edge of the state (near Omaha), some of the best hunting grounds in the nation. Contrary to former popular belief, I am MALE. Yes, male. One of the few of those crazy members of that gender that visit this forum... I've been interested in Tolkien since I was 8, when I read the Hobbit, but never even heard of Lord of the Rings until I saw the movie poster at the local theater. Interested, I borrowed the books from a friend and was instantly hooked. Even though having read the books not a month before the Fellowship came out, I am a bit of a purist and pretty picky about the movies. I am quite fond of fantasy, mythology, and classical works in general, often spending over an hour in front of a book. I love to write and role-play, too. However, I'm not quite as much of a bookworm as I just made myself out to be... I enjoy sports such as football (both European and American) and most track and field events, not to mention the fact that I have a passion for the martial arts, particularly Tae-Kwon-Do. I also enjoy art and drama... I'm a christian (don't worry. Not all the mods are christians. ) and very active in both religion and politics... I have a strong sense of justice and stand true to my opinions and convictions, so don't try to dissuade me without proper evidence. As much as it might be good for me, it won't work. I'm one of the longest-running forum moderators, starting way back when it was made (a year ago, lol)... Even though I often sound really formal and serious (like now), I'm not. Just get to know me and you'll discover my crazy self... *explodes*

*looks around, coughing from the left-over smoke of Tulc's explosion* *cough hack choke* I hate it when he does that. *bangs Tulc over the head* Anyway, I'm Arsarniel My evil alias is The Cat of Queen Beruthiel, and I've been a mod since Arwen started having them. Yup. I'm ancient. *rubs creaking back* I too, am Christian, and I'll be 16 in about a week. ;D I was introduced to Tolkien by my parents when I was 5, by them reading The Hobbit to the family. I was terrified by it, but also fasinated by its "scary-ness". The same with LOTR, when I was about 7, I was told by my mom not to read it yet, because it was scary and would give me nightmares. But, of course, that means I read it. But for some strange reason, I could never get past "Many Meetings", but was perfictly happy with just reading the first half of FOTR over and over again. I actully finished it a year later. When I heard that they were going to make movies about my favorite books several years later, I was ecstatic. Ivreniel and I (Ivy's my older sister, FYI) went every year to the opening night (midnight has been out of the question, since the theater's over an hour away ) in costume with friends, and we fully established ourselves in the ranks of LOTR geekdom. ;D Which I have been a proud member of ever since. I also love The Matrix, Josh Groban, NASCAR, POTC, Archery, and animals in general. If you want to get on my good side, I suggest you give me jelly beans. Any questions? ;D *is kicked offstage by next mod*

Great idea Elvawen! *clears throat* lets see about me.... most people call me Jen or Jenny, I've been a mod since... this fall sometime, I don't remember the exact month, however I have been a forum member from pretty much the beginning of the forum... within a few days at least. I'm 16, and live next to the mountains I too am a Christian, and I love spending time with my friends in and out of youth group. I LOVE music, I listen to it 24/7. Right now in my cd player is Nickel Creek, Relient K, Skillet, Linkin Park, Sixpence None The Richer, and Superchick. (ok well I dont know if they actually are in my player, but thats what I've been listening to lately ) I read a lot, some of my favorite authors are Tolkien (duh), JK Rowling, Michael Crichton, Jane Austen, and Melody Carlson. And currently I'm reading Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. Aaaand other randomness about me.... I love all things British, I want to go to Britain and Scotland SO BAD. I grew up/still live in a college town, and I have a lot of friends who are in college, or out of college... my oldest friends is actually twice my age (though she's not in college...) I am addicted to the internet. I love to hike and just walk. I love art, though I'm kind of challenged myself. Okay I can't think of anything else

Me me me meee! *runs up to stage, slips and gets back up* Yes, I’m Me. Uh, Well, actually Miremiel. Usually Mire for short. My Evilishy moddie name is Watcher in the Water. Yay. I actually don’t remember when I became a mod, but I’ll get back to ya when I’ve found out. Lessee, what’s there to say. I’m 14 and from Denmark. Yup, Scandinavia. I became a Ringer when FotR came out. I’d read FotR before that (actually, a few months before, probably) but that’s all I got to read at that time. But when it came out in the theatres, I fell in love with it immediately. Around friends on MSN, I’m also known as The Queen of Tupo and Llama-girl. The tupo thing would be because I happen to tupo... a lot at times. I try to keep it down here on the forums though;) Llama-girl, well, the name says it all. I happen to know, that llamas will take over the world someday. *nods* (edit) Oh, and btw, I lost my head. So Teni gave me a llama head instead. And... I also like to role-play... both life and here on AU, I love to do sports, especially softball at the moment, and to just go for a long walk down by the ocean with my dog. Something I love, almost more than anything (Of course, besides LotR and Tolkien’s other work;)) is being hyper. But well, that’s just me. I know I’ve forgot something, but I’ll get back to you when I’ve found out what. Can't think of more now. *drags next mod onstage*
