(thanks guys!! I couldn't wait to start playing, so i decided to anyway. lol. Estel gave me permission to play her charrie.)
A medium sized man was walking across the courtyard.
"Tomorrow morning... yes, thats when I shall leave. I cannot dwindle here any longer."
He then heard the sound of thundering hooves. His head snapped up and he turned towards the direction. He saw the urgancy in the travelers face, and knew something was amiss. Quickly, he ran towards the front gate.
"Let them in, Beleg." He told the guard. Another guard came, and they both opened the large doors to the palace of Thranduil as quickly as possible. He watched as the horse and riders entered the courtyard, and halted. He took hold of the huge black horses bridle.
"I'll take him the stable, ma'm." He said cooly, looking at the two curiously. Estel nodded, and leapt off.
"Come Amoniel, we must warn Thranduil!"
Kano lead the black horse away, once both riders where off, towards the royal stables. The horse was lathered and breathing heavily. Deciding it was best to cool him down first, Kano lead him a couple times around the courtyard before heading into the stable. There, he untacked him and groomed him down. Kano made sure he had room temperature water, and a flake of hay before leaving. Then, Kano ran towards the palace, taking the marbled steps up two at a time. He went inside, and hopped to find out what was going on. He heard the sound of guards whispering amoungst each other, and his ears pricked to hear what was being said.
"The archers are fighting off a drake."
"A drake? How could this be!?"
"Yes, I heard they where exstinct."
"Well," said the first guard, "this one is sure real. Has probably already reached Mirkwood by now. Thranduil may need to evacuate the city."
"That hasn't been needed for ages. Lets hope the archers will chase him away, if not kill him."
Kano heard enough, and jogged to find Thranduil and the mysterious strangers.
