Golweneth had talked with her sister, Eitheleth, the Maiden of Water, before she joined the others. Her sister gave her hope. "I will always be in touch with you, Golweneth," said the Maiden of Water. "Wherever there is water, you can contact me. Have hope for you are not alone in this." The sisters parted and Golweneth joined the others and Galadriel. The Lady of Light first approached Golweneth. "Give me your ring," said Galadriel. Golweneth took off the ring of the four daughters of Elladan and handed it to her great-grandmother. Galadriel blessed it and as she put it back on the finger of Golweneth she said, "May it bring you hope and grace when the all things seem to fade. You already have great virtues inside of you; strength and valor. In memory of a great warrior, Lord Celeborn and I have a gift to you." Lord Celeborn stepped forward and presented a broadsword. "Your own sword is worn and has already seen much battle. So, my great-grandaughter, take this sword. It is the sword of Fingon the Valient, the Warrior King. He was killed in Nirnaith Arnodiad, the Battle of Unnumbered Tears, by a balrog in the first age. The warrior elves were greatly out numbered at that battle and yet Fingon kept his honor and valor. His son was Gil-galad, also an Elf of great renown." Celeborn unsheathed the broadsword. It shined dazzlingly in the light. On the hilt of the sword there was an emerald; a jewel that represented Golweneth and also the same jewel she saw enflamed in the mirror of Galadriel the night before. And around the jewel, engraved in elvish script, it said, "No veren. Avo 'osto. Hebo estel." (Trans: Be bold. Fear not. Have hope.) Celeborn handed the broadsword to Golweneth and she admired it as it glittered in the light that cascaded through the trees above. "When you wield this sword, may you remember Fingon the Valient and the strength that already is within you," said Celeborn. "Hannon le," said Golweneth as she looked at Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel with great appreciation and love. Then Golweneth bowed and the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien went up to the next member of the company, their own daughter, Elenanna.

Elenanna bowed her head in respect for her parents. Galadirel smiled and presented a bow. Elenanna's eye widened and she said, "Naneth, I cannot."
"Your old bow is wearing out, dear daughter. Take this bow, which was made with the hands of your father and the Marchwarden." Elenanna's eyes widened slightly at those words. "Also, I present unto you the Pendant of Lothlorien. May it be a guide to you, when you are lost."
Elenanna smiled and took the golden tree-shaped pendant and the twin to the Bow of the Galadhrimm. She looked at her parents and said, "Hannon lle, Naneth, Ada. Namaarie."
Celeborn smiled and said, "Namaarie, Aman Lothenedhel. Ná Elbereth veria le, ná elenath dín síla erin rád o lenn lín."
Elenanna bowed and walked over to Gowlenneth.
(Elvish-Thank you, Mother, Father. Farewell.
Farwell, Blessed Lothenedhel (which means Blossom of Elves), May Elbereth protect you, may her stars shine on the path of your journey.)

Silmeriel looked up as Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel came to her, the Lady of Light holding a small box. The Lady came closer. "You have discovered hope, my child. You have felt joy as unfelt by many for countless ages. The journey is hard and the way is long, but you shall prevail. Do not fear needlessly, young maiden. But do not be foolish. Protect yourself and your companions. Fulfill your destiny. Go with my blessing." *and that of your family's* the Lady's voice whispered in her head. Lady Galadriel dipped her fingers into the box, which contained pure light. She touched Silmeriel's sword, her bow and arrows, her daggers, and her knives, then beckoned to the girl-elf. "Your weapons shall never rust, nor break. Look at your bow, look at your sword, look at your daggers." Silmeriel drew out her bow and gasped at the wood- once stained and worn, now pure white and strong- just the right weight and pull and strength for her arm. Her daggers were polished like new, and a pearl glowed in the hilt of each. But her sword was the most wondrous of all. Drawing it, she gazed down its length. It had always been the perfect balance, perfect weight, always sharp. But now it glowed as though new-made, and the hilt, once worn and finger-printed, was now with an elegantly carved basket-hilt ((think like the one Inigo Montoya's father made for the six-fingered man in THE PRINCESS BRIDE)) and tiny diamonds glittered in the hilt. "My lady, how can I ever-" Silmeriel started to say. But the Lady was not finished. "Now look at me." Silmeriel obeyed unquestioningly. "Reach your right hand into the box." Silmeriel felt a cooling, tingling sensation travel up her arm, the light flowing over her skin, coating her entire body in a sheath of light. The light swirled and disappeared into her skin. "I have given you the gift of light. Use it when you need to See. It is always there, within you. Use it wisely. Use it well." Lady Galadriel said, with a smile. Silmeriel bowed low, deeply honored, and then watched as the Lady and Lord Celeborn moved on to Synariel.

Linwe woke up. She rebraided her hair and groomed Astaldo. She saddled up Astaldo and waited for the others to begin their journey. She pulled out two pieces of fruit and a slice of bread from her saddle pack. She fed one of the pieces of fruit to Astaldo and let her graze at the grass. Linwe sat on a rock and ate her breakfast.

Synariel gazed with focus upon Galadriel, this...Lady of light, who she had only the day before, first met. She seemed to be held in great honor, and though Synariel did not doubt that she should be, she wished she knew why. The Lady smiled down at her with a warm expression, that she had not seen not seen so clearly before in the face of any elf so far, making it impossible for her to feel unsafe where she stood.
"The prescence of your kind is not very known to me." the Lady said to her. "Well, I'm not from around here." Synariel replied. "I'm from the south." and with those words Synariel noticed and immediate change in the expressions of the elves around her. Suddenly she remembered the people who lived in the South, who she had met when she first she came to Middle Earth, the Haradrim. Figuring they were connecting her to them, suddenly spoke "Uh-no! Further-uh-further South! Much-further-South." "Yes, " Galadriel replied, still smiling. Then speaking to Synariel only in their minds she finished "From a land called Moroni." -(sounds like moh-row-nye) Synariel nodded almost spacemindedly in answer, not understanding how the Lady knew, or could speak to her like she did. "And you've come unarmed I see. Though Silmeriel has given you a dagger...but that will not be enough to protect you in Middle Earth. Especially not in this age."
Galadriel beckoned to a elf man behind her who carried forth a bundle in his arms, and taking the bundle from the elf she unwrapped a fairly sized sword and a bow. "Take care of these gifts and they will always take care of you in whatever battle you may find yourself in."
Though Synariel wasn't quite sure how exactly she was going to carry, all of them together, she was grateful indeed, and thanked the Lady for the gifts.
"Now," she thought. "If I can just get Silmeriel to teach me how to use these."
Hearing Synariel's thought, the Lady Galadriel laughed softly within herself.

*of course I'll help you* said Silmeriel to Synariel, telepathically. *Golweneth and the others will probably help too.* Silmeriel smiled at Synariel's startled gasp. *sorry, i guess I forgot to mention I can read minds and speak telepathically. whoops* she giggled.

"Thanks." Synariel thought, glancing over at Silmeriel.
She held up the sword in front of her face. "Wo!" she mouthed. "That's....biggish."

Neal woke up and looked around. She remembered where she was. She stood up and looked around. She saw Linwe sitting near by. "Sulaid." She said yawning.

Linwe smiled at Neal. "Morning." She greeted. "Want some?" She asked her friend, breaking part of her bread off and handing it over to Neal.

"Yes, it's a somewhat large sword, but it's really the right size for you. It won't be too big for you, don't worry." Silmeriel reassured her friend.

"And it's not heavy at all." Synariel said to Silmeriel. Then she took a better look at her bow. "It's beautiful!" she exclaimed. "Almost makes me not want to use it, for fear of messing any part of up." The workmanship on it was exceedingly fine, and the designs upon it, were to Synariel a wondrous work of art.

"Yes, it's absolutely gorgeous workmanship. But look at mine for a second." Silmeriel said. She drew out her bow. It had different, but equally delicate and beautiful, designs on it. "I've had this since I was 200 years old. Does it look worn down to you?" she asked. Every detail sparkled, no fingerprints marked it, it looked as though brand-new. "It will really be helpful to you, and the beauty of it won't go away a bit!" She glanced at the sword again. "You ought to name your sword. Come to think of it, I ought to name my sword. Perhaps the Lady Galadriel will bless them for us, too! Do you have any idea what you might want to name it?" Silmeriel asked.

Synariel glanced down at her sword, soncentrating on the designs and glow of it, trying to think of what name would suit it.
"Ammon." she finally said.

Elenanna inspected her bow and saw it had mithril running down the sides. Where she held the bow was crafted into a blossom. She then looked at her necklace and saw it had a jewel in it. A diamond, cut and set into the necklace.
She turned to the others and saiid, "Where is Linwe and Amoniel?"
