I don't know where would be an entirely suitable place to post this, but Peter Jackson deserves some credits! Anyone know any random facts about him, as opposed to the main actors?

It's kind of sad... I am going to learn more about Peter Jackson! The genius behind the movies, and hardly anyone knows anything about him.

Yeah, it is very sad, considering how much work he put into it. I know though, that he's very fit. (despite his appearance) and that all the actors just loved him! I'm sure everyone knows the famous Orlando Bloom saying so I will resist the temptation to qoute it. ;D

Hmmm... don't know much about PJ, only he's from N-Z and always wanted to make of movie of LotR. I only know some things about his former movies and stuff everyone has already read by now.
But I do feel PJ deserves much credit. He did a good job. I must say though I'm not happy with some things he has changed. But I guess he had no choice. Some say if Tolkien would have seen the movie, he would be really mad.
Still think PJ is great, first of all because he took the chalenge of making the movie and second of all because he did the best he could. Even the tiniest details like signs on swords etc that no one even notices... I like the movies and the way he chose actors and landscapes and... Almost everything in the movies looks the way I imagined it to be when I read the book, and THAT is a great achievement!!! (maybe even the greatest you can reach when making a book into a movie.)

I agree, he did a wonderful job. He added some humor, and we all know that if every detail from the books had been in the movie, the trilogy would have been about sixteen hours long. (Of course, I would still watch it, but...) Though I do miss Gildor... *sniffles*
