Well, after all I agree. Because the books were first and original...

The books are the authentic and original. But the movies are a masterpiece of their own.

One thing the movies have that the books don't is an amazing soundtrack...

There is not a thing that could ever be better in the movie than the books. That's just it.

I find it very difficult to compair book and movie when they are both brilliant. I can say the Harry Potter books are better than the films (obviously ) but once you have stunningly good books and films I don't see how you can say which is "better" though you can of course say when you enjoyed more (though I can't really compair the pleasure of reading to the pleasure of watching a film either : Also I think it's wrong to say that the books are "better because they came first" in saying that you're denying what the films are which is an adaptation of a book.

People have to understand the movie is a fan's version of what happened in the books.
And I have to agree with Ktstar and Arien Elensar, the music was wonderful, the movies won't have gotten very far without that soundtrack.
I am in love with the Rohan theme with the Hardanger.
Howard Shore is a musical genis. (Put very lightly)

Yeah! the movie would not have the same aura and magic were not for the beautiful dramatic music.

Yeah, but after reading The Silmarillion I thought it was brilliant It's one of my favourite chapters and there's too much room for misconceptions with the film ^^^^Exactly what I'm thinking about the COE.^^^^

Also: on May 6th, 2005, 11:38am, Elanor wrote:I find it very difficult to compair book and movie when they are both brilliant.
