You too! And wow! You even remember the dates. that's cool. I got mine around Christmas of last year. (Im so late.) I haven't opened it yet, not until I get the first one. But I have all the books and read my fav parts over and over again. thanks! Ir eally hope I get it soon too!
And Jackson really did do an awesome job with Lorien but it could have been a bit better from the reaction of the characters in the book.

Well... how can I forget the dates - they're so important for me. I also got the books (of course) but now I'm reading 'The Sillmarilion' again... Yes PJ did great work with Lorien and I like it!

don't you think that when they enter lothlorien it was at day time (so the light was golden) and when meet galadriel and celeborn it was night time? hmm... i think that that's the explination for the "missing golden light" - the most scenes in lothlorien are at night time and the most suitable light is the silver one, because it's colder than the golden and it's hiding more secrets ;D

I also noticed that but I think that here there's some cutting, I mean maybe the fellowship stayed somewhere and then went to Galadriel and Celeborn's relaim...

Yes, Arien, these tales are really beautiful, I love reading them at night (that's the only time when I can read normally)...

You are kind of right about that. They do go during the day. And it was msotly at night. The only disappointment of Lorien was that they made it more forboding then fair and bright. There is one flahs in ROTK were they have Lorien in gold and a bit in the EE I've heard.
I read them almost when ever. But I read best at home or at school when it's nice and quiet. I love reading at night sometimes. There's more emotion then.

I always saw Lorien as... sleepy, I guess. A place of rest and healing. And the movie pretty much matched my imagination on that.
Especially the quiet music in the background as Galadriel searches the hearts of the Fellowship. Yanno, those chimes? Gorgeous. And how simply yet effectively they did the whole "Galadriel-wise-eyes" thing with the Christmas lights.

And how simply yet effectively they did the whole "Galadriel-wise-eyes" thing with the Christmas lights. I noticed that three years ago when I first watched FOTR and I was wondering how did they do that, but when I watched the spacial materials (CD 4 - 'Cameras in Middle-Earth' - Lothlorien) in the FOTR EE in the end of 2004 I learned how did they do that - it's beautiful!!

With the lights?? Here's one: This is when we first see Galadriel's eyes in Lorien - the fellowship is enterning the golden wood and Gimli starts talking about the 'elf-witch' and then we hear Galadriel's voice in Frodo's head and we see her eyes...

Wow! Oh piccy! ;D thank you so much. It looks beautiful. Does Gimli talk of the elf witch in the EE only?

No, I think Gimli says it in the theatrical as well. Lady Undomiel, about remembering dates like that - I do the same thing! Actually. They're all marked on my calender. Every year, since I bought FOTR EE at least a year ago. Along with everyone's b'days associated with LOTR...and dates like March 25th.

Like I said before, it's been a while since I watched.
That's cool how you put their Bdays. I should maybe do that.
