Really random thought here....as I was watching the FotR Extended DVD a night of two ago, I noticed that at the Council of Elrond, when Boromir starts his speech about "Long has my father [something something]. By the blood of my people are your lands protected" and then he gets mad when Aragorn tells him that no one can use the Ring, you can here the Gondor/Minas Tirith/RotK music theme playing softly in the background! I just thought I'd point that out, because it makes me admire Howard Shore even more--he had that theme planned from the very beginning! Anyway.....just something to think about....

thats awesome! but when you see gandalf riding (after he left the shire before he went to saruman) when you see minas tirith, it sounds like star wars music (& i dont even like star wars) but no offence to howard shore (<i dont know if that is spelled correctly) but it sounds different in rotk....dont know...maybe its just my ears....

it's the same with the music from Lothlorien, it's the same tone as the Uruk Hai music (don't remember the name of the track on the cd). if yiou listen to it right after each other, you can hear it's the same, just, the Lothlorien is more... mysterious, and the Uruk Hai is more... you know..
