yeah ur right... it would be sooo hard trying to cast all the elves... i also agree that Keira would be good for Luthien, mainly cos she's HOTTTTT!

I think that Keira would be too young to play Luthien. She looks really young and I think somebody more 'ageless' looking would be better.

No, I still vote for Keira, she may be young, but that's always the impression I get of Luthien when I read the books. And she is comparatively young next to some of the other elves in Sil.

Ack. Keira Knightly? They should at least get someone who can fake intelligence, let alone has some, to play Luthien. But that's just my opinion. An unknown, or relatively so, actress for Luthien would be best.

Keira does a good job. THough there are times... Well, if they're going to pick an unknown, pick someone who does something besides, smile, toss her head, and look pretty....*Thinks of Diane Kruger and shudders violently*

And someone without an entirely strange accent.... *thinks of Diana Kruger*

I don't know... I don't think that Keira Knightly would be a good Luthien. I think that Catherine Zeta-Jones would fit the role a little better... I could imagine her as Luthien. But the problem is that I wouldn't cast her as Luthien either b/c she's a little too old. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who would be best, but I'll think about it.

Naomi Watts would be good i think.
Brad Pitt as Feanor... hmmm... thats a thought. i think anyone who has seen Troy would know where i'm coming from.

I actually kinda agree w/ you about Brad Pitt... I could imagine him as Feanor. (I saw Troy too!! I'm not sure about Naomi Watts though... didn't someone mention Natalie Portman earlier?? She might be allright. But none of the people I've thought of seem to fit as Luthien the way I pictured her to be. But, then again, I'm just picky. lol

Mm-hmm, Brad Pitt as Feanor, that's a scary thought. He might fit the part well though. And I've been thinking, it's a real shame that Catherine Zeta-Jones isn't younger.

I don't mean to sound proud or rude or anything, but I would kill for a role in that movie. I would love to play Nienor/Niniel. I don't know why, exactly, except after reading her story in Unfinished Tales I am dying to play her. But I'll be content to be part of Thranduil's court in The Hobbit...if I make auditions. VERY minor role, and I don't care, as long as I play an Elf. Seeing as there are no female characters in that book that we know of...sorry for getting so off-topic! I will accept any punishment.

Hmmm... not mad, I know what you mean. SO would I! Geez, I'd even play a hobbit or some random person, just so I could be in the movie!!!!!!

I'm just an aspiring actress and as soon as I read that book I was like "I must play her!" Doubt that will ever happen since Sil will never be made into a movie, but oh how I would love to be her.

I think that Sophia Marceau would make a good Luthien. (She's the one that played the French princess in Braveheart)

If I ever got the chance I'd gladly play the young Galadriel, though that's not happening anytime soon.
