I didn't, that's my opinion on all the three books. I like Tolkien's writing, so I didn't find the beginning boring. I need variation, I can't have action and excitement all through the book.

i did the first time i read it, so i just skiped the first few chapters, but i was only about 9, and didn't understand it all anyways.

Whoops, I thought that this was in The Fellowship Book section. I think it's better sending Boromir off at the begining of TTT rather than end of FotR as the films do...

well i am not done with TTT but i have finished the first one so i will say that it takes them forever to stop talking about when the hobbits leave but it got better at the prancing pony and stuff

uh... oh! i see what i meant is i am not done with the two towers but i did finish the first one.. sorry if i am mixing things up my brain is so crushed! (from a large canada project and test and tree report and test etc)

How could it be boring?? If you were entirely caught up in Fellowship of the Ring, the continuation of the story would be anything but boring!! It picks up right where FOTR left off, and I certainly don't find it boring!! Maybe it's just me though....
