Where's treebeard? ? I think the most important in TTT were the elves who came to Helmsdeep 'cause without them Helmsdeep would have been totally lost and they realy were supposed to be there....!!!! Just kidding, always thought it was stupid that they just showed up there in the movie. Where the h*** did they come from?? They should have been miles away fighting their own war (I know, to much to film all that)...

I would say Faramir, he was the one who gave Frodo and Sam provisions, and he let them go.

have you all forgotten Eowyn?? she showed the strength of Aragorn's love for Arwen by trying to get him. if eowyn hadn't fallen in love with aragorn, you wouldn't realise the undying love he had for arwen. eowyn also killed the witchking and his steed. she has strength and is beautiful!

That's true about Eowyn but in TTT book she didn't actually do much, when Theoden ad co went to Helm's Deep, she didn't go in the book, i think i'm glad they changed it so she went in the film because she's a great character. But although she is my favourite character, in TTT, she's not that important (the most important female in the whole trilogy though!)

Strangely enough, I think the Two Towers was more about Aragorn than any other LOTR character. But Frodo is the most important character in the LOTR stories because he is the ringbearer, and without him there really wouldn't have been any victory.

They are all important. Where is Gandalf, Saruman and Sauron? The most important character is the ONE RING ;D

definately i think gandalf was the most important character. gandalf completely saved helm's deep, and he sort of organized the whole quest, almost. aragorn probably was second most important, cause he held the fight at helm's deep before gandalf came. but yeah, gandalf is probably the most important character of the whole book.

well in TT it would have to be to frodo, because like someone already said, if frodo hadnt stopped sam from killing Smeagol, they wouldnt have been able to destroy the ring, but in a whole of all the movies, Gandalf was definatley the most important character..i mean..all this stuff kicked off because of gandalf (if u wanna know more read my post in FotR)

Come on peoples! With out Frodo, the ring probably wouldn't have been destroyed! He's the most important throughout the whole story!

I went with Sam, because without Sam then Sauron (or Gollum) would have gotten the ring when Frodo was attacked by Shelob. Sam just helps Frodo along all the way through, and I don't think Frodo could have even made it as far as Shelob's Lair without him. And, you know, the whole story kinda revolves around the Ring...

There is no real important character. Every character is just as important for they all helped in the main thing they were trying to accomplish.
