Who should have been cast as niece to Theoden, King of Rohan in LotR? Don't get me wrong, I think that Mirando Otto did a fabulous job but do you think anyone could have done better?
Personally, I think that Renne Zellweger would have done pretty well at it.

nah... i disagree with Renée. I don't think she has the kinda Viking, Nordic look about her that Miranda Otto has. I reckon Miranda was purrrrfect. (in more ways than one! ) Perhaps Naomi Watts would of been good, it's hard to say.

I cannot think of one other person who could have possibly played Eowyn Miranda Otto did a great job bringing her to life and she is pretty much how I pictured the character in the books

I dont think anyone could replace Miranda. Not only did she completely bring Eowyn to life, but she looks the part in every way. In the book Eowyn is described as been tall, thin, pale, w/ golden hair. Need I say more?

Miranda did do a great job, and was perfect for the part, but I think that Drew BArrymoore would have been good as well

Yeah she looked just as I'd imagined her and she was great in the part. I couldn't see Drew Barrymore being her

I've gotten so used to Miranda Otto, it's hard for me to picture anyone else as Eowyn Miranda Otto = Eowyn for me. She portrayed the character as well as I could have asked ;D But if I had to choose someone else? perhaps Nicole Kidman (though I've always though she would make a nice Rosie or perhaps Goldberry) or... oh, I don't know. I still vote Miranda Otto! ;D
