they couldn't have done a better job! especially their casting of Sam....
If Sean Astin had turned down the role, his only competition would have gotten the role. we would have been watching a fat, middle-aged British thespian carrying the very hot Elijah Wood up the slopes of Mount Doom.
now none of us would have wanted that, now would we?

lol Samwise I don't think that ne of the actors can be replaces I trust Peter Jackson in his desicion in the Hobbit also since he did so well in the Fellowship, Two Towers, and Return of the King

The cast for LotR as a whole was exceptional, and the actors will always be remembered for their work in the trilogy's films, no matter what they go on to do with their lives...

I agree the casting was perfect. I can't imagine anyone else in those roles.

I'm satisfied with most of the actors, except the extra elves...they didn't look like fair elves...

I dont think Hugo Weaving was cast right. He looks too old to be an elf. And i think the female elves don't have soft enought faces, lol that sounds really stupid but in the pictures by Alan Lee, John Howe etc. the faces of the females elves are more...well...elven. Does that make any sense?
