Tifa watched him leave, unable to even speak. She felt tears well up in her eyes. Two years and this was the longest she'd seen him. Two years and all he had to say to her was "I have to go." Maybe everyone else was right. Maybe she should just give up.
But Tifa knew that she just wasn't going to.
She turned, not wanting Vincent to see the tears that were now flowing freely down her cheeks.

Cloud had been gone for sometime and the atmosphere in the hideout was dreadful, Vincent was in a fitful sleep, Cid rested on a makeshift bed.
No one said a word to one another.
Suddenly they heard the crunching of broken glass outside, the glass which had been laid down by Barret as an early warning system to alert for someone approaching.
That someone was at the door...
Barret shifted slightly, his gun poised. The hairs on Red's back stood to attention...
In what seemed like an agonisingly long time, the door creaked open, a silhouetted figure emerged from the darkness...
Barret was moments away from opening fire when Tifa stopped him. 'Who... Who are you?' She asked.
The figure walked into the light of a weak bulb, his spiky, messed blonde hair dirtied from wandering the streets of old Midgar, his glowing eyes losing none of thier potency.
'We're not going to defeat these guys sitting around here are we?' Cloud finally spoke to the bewildered group of survivors.

Tifa smiled, the expression feeling alien on her features. "I knew you'd come back," she said.
Tifa stood up, surveying the surrounding devestation with new hope. Cloud's reappearance seemed to have brought new life into the group and they all gathered their things, anxious to get going. It was an amazing feeling, like they were a group again about to begin the final battle with Sephiroth. They had a purpose - something it seemed that all their lives had been lacking the past two years.
"Try and wake up Vincent," said Tifa quietly to Yuffie. The ninja nodded and made her way over to the unconcious gunman.
"So, what's our plan of action?" Tifa asked, straight to buisness. For now, her personal issues would have to wait.

Yuffie leaned over Vincent: " Vinnncceennntttt. " she hissed. Vincent cracked an eye open and pushed her across the room. Standing up, he felt for his guns and stood silent, observing the others.

Cloud looked over at the face of Vincent He seemed to look much older than last time Cloud had seen him year past. He turned his attention back to Tifa.
'The City of the Ancients... We have to go back.'
The name sent a chill down everyone in the room.

Vincent loaded his guns and twirled them in the air. He nodded and walked over to the doorway, looking around he leaned against the frame as if waiting for the rest to follow.

Cloud let the news sink in to the rest of the group... He knew it would come as a surprise... but it was the only lead he had. He could feel the voices that Aeris was reaching out with... then they just stopped...
what happened?
He walked outside, Vincent waited pensively against the nearby wall...

Vincent followed Cloud outside, tossing a blank look to Tifa. His walking slightly labored he made his way over to a rock where he pulled a pen and small journal from an inside coat pocket, and begain writing furiously. His brow became creased, and his eyes bore into the paper.

Tifa stared at Cloud. Could he be serious? The City of Ancients... Why would he possibly want to go there? She followed him and Vincent outside and watched them pensively. Both had a guarded expression on their faces and she glanced from one to the other.
"You're not telling us something, are you?"

'I'm not sure... I just 'know; we have to go there. No doubt we'll understand more about the silver haired men, maybe even more about the star-scar... i'm not sure.'

((I'l give it a shot if everyone else is game))
Cloud looked back somberly at the others. He had expected more of a debate from the group but it almost seemed like everyone had resigned themselves to the fact that they had to go to the place they feared most.
Ever since the events that surrounded the coming of Meteor and the near destruction of the planet, the City of the Ancients has been completely abandoned, and not without good reason. Everyone who knew her, had wanted to leave the city as a final resting place for the late Aeris Gainsbourgh, the last of the ancients. At one point the new Shinra decided to attempt to restore the city, to a new home of civiliasation, a landmark of a new era. Apparently they were chased away by fel spirits and quite remarkably unfortunate events. It seemed the Ancient city would not be disturbed.
Until now.

(alright... let's see if this RP can get back on it's feet...)
Aeris after a minute or two of silence felt a pain in her temples again and hissed softly, closing her eyes. Once again she saw the blonde from before and this time a name came with the image...Cloud. Aeris opened her eyes quickly hoping that Sephiroth had not seen her small movements, she had a feeling that if her knew of what she saw things would go badly.
