Unbeknownst to all the others, two hazel eyes peered out from a curtain of lush lashes. Hidden behind a tree, Silmeriel watched the human/elf group walk past her. Someone would sense her sooner or later, probably the Ranger-girl. She checked her weapons, in case they though her an enemy.* why, i wonder? i am an elf like them. I wouldn't betray them.*

The sun was slowly rising as the group walked past the trees. Golweneth stopped by one tree and said beneath her hooded cloak, "Welcome. Iston le? (trans. Do I know you?)"

Silmeriel smiled. "I knew you'd be the one to notice. I'm Silmeriel of Lothlorien. Right now, I'm just wandering though. As far as I know, I don't know you, although I may have seen you before. Might I be able to travel with your group?" *oh please, please don't turn me away just because i'm different.* she thought frantically. "I have healing and fighting skills, as well as truth-telling ones." A lump formed in her throat. "But my skills weren't enough to save Luvariel..."she whispered to herself. "Why did my sister have to die?"

Golweneth read her mind. "We'd be glad to have you join us," she replied. "And as for differences among people, I embrace them. So don't feel ashamed of who are." They started walking along again. Golweneth walked next to Simeriel. "Your sister was killed I understand. I am truly sorry for your loss. You and I have something in common. To lose a sister is to lose a best friend . . . I should know."

Silmeriel heaved a sigh of relief. "Thank you. For accepting me...and for understanding." And for telling the truth, she thought. This girl had no fear of her being different, hid no fear of it. "So, where are you bound?" she asked.

"We are headed for Lothlorien, but our first stop will be Minas Tirith. My uncle, King Elessar, will help us to get ready for our long journey and give us what provisions we may need. Have you ever been to Minas Tirith?" asked Golweneth.

"Once, when I was very young, but I hardly remember it. Besides, I'm sure that under King Elessar's reign, it is far more beautiful than I remember it." Silmeriel replied. "May ask you something? Why is it that you do not even wonder what my 'difference' may be?"

"Well," replied Golweneth, "I embraces differences because most people don't. They way I see it, they are missing out by not being as open-minded as they could be. Most people conform to what is considered normal so they frown upon those that are different from the norm. I don't conform to anything. I follow my own heart and listen to it. My heart has always told me that people who are considered different or weird by others are actually the most interesting people a person will meet. I know this through experience. I don't get along too well with people who frown at differences. If you want to tell me more of your difference that is fine, and if not that's also fine. Besides," she smirked after her endless babbling, "I'm telepathic."

Elenanna sighed after Falathiel told her what was the reason. She looked behind her and heard voices.
She pushed Falathiel into a tree and said, "Be quiet." before climbing the tree and looking at where the voices were coming from.

"Well, that explains a lot." Silmeriel replied. "So you know about my- what's that noise?"
