Does anyone wonder, when Minas Tirith is chucking absolutely MASSIVE boulders aganst the enemy, how did they get them onto the catapult in the first place? *EDIT--Tone down the caps and question marks a bit. And it wasn't the battle of the Pelennor fields, it was the Siege of Gondor.

^ Yeah, I had to edit that a bit. I think they had the rocks there already, in case of war.

I always wondered that too... I surpose that they got so desperate that the broke parts of the buildings off. But how would they get those huge rocks to the launcher thingies...

I think they were bits of the city that had been broken off by the enemy's catapults.

I'm guessing a couple of men heaved them up.

Well, people have been using big stones on catapults for quite a while, so there must be some way of doing it...

Maybe thay can somehow get the sling under it without moving the boulder and letting the sling go from there.

^Thats an idea! Maybe they just rolled the stone onto the sling- that wouldnt be as hard as lifting it.
