Well no mvie would be the same without music. I think, music plays quite a big role in movies in general and I think LotR music is really awesome...so I'm glad that it's there;)

I think watching LotR without music would be like...*thinks of simile*...eating toast without butter--dry. Music tells you how to feel at different parts. It strengthens or relaxes tension. It can bring out so many emotions--I don't think I would cry as much at parts like the Grey Havens without that beautiful music accompanying it. The movies would just not be complete without music.

I movie is nothing without music. I once watched a Hindi movie with a portion of one of the LoTR songs in a dramatic scene. It was called Main Hoon Na. Translation: I'm Here Aren't I?

It is really important!!! Without music the movies won't be the same (LOTR I mean)... The score really helps when you watch the films. Yes, you've the actors act and the effects and etc but the music is really emotional and make you feel same as the characters... For example imagine Gandalf's death without music, it'll be harder to cry when you aren't hearing that beautiful solo!!!

i really like your answers. we all think the same way. LOTR just wouldn't be the same - when you watch the love scene between Arwen and Aragorn in the first movie and you hear the music you can really feel the love. and that's what a movie is!

I agree. You need music in a movie, and LOTR definitely wouldn't be the same without the music. I mean, what if you were watching Pelennor Fields and there was no Rohan music?

music is the backbone and structure of a movie...without it, the movie would just be a mass of...well, dry toast as Kstar said - the music beefs it up and cushions it.... xTx

Movies need music, LotR especially. I love the LotR music! *is listening to the Shadowfax theme now* What is your favourite LotR song? For me, probably Into the West.
