Do you think that in future years anyone will try to top Peter Jackson's version of LotR? It would be hard to do, even if they didn't change as much. I personally don't think anyone could make a better movie, but I want to know your opinions.

People will try. I don't know if it will be better or worse. It depends on the person entirely. I really hope someone tries. and this time sticks completely to the book. That would be interesting to watch.

Personally I think that this version will do for a while now...it's epic. But of course others will try. But I like Jacksons version anyway:)

I don't think I could ever like another version. PJ and the team's vision was outstanding... and anyone who decides to do their own version will have the problem of copying and copyrighting as Peter Jackson used original graphics and concept art of Rivendell, Hobbiton etc.. so they can hardly use the same without everyone thinking it's unoriginal.
And who the hell are they gona get to be Frodo anyway? Frankie Muniz *snorts* ;D

I did hear a while back that The Lord of the Rings trilogy was the number one film that might be redone in the future. Weird huh?

that is weird. i think that people will try to copy, but personally, i think another lotr will be boring and "not like the first one" if you get my meaning. sort of like *bites nails* what i'm "predicting" for potc 2...the first lotr was sooooo incredible and orginal, and future attempts may just be kind of ...i don't know.

Another LotR? Well, if anyone thinks they can do better than Peter Jackson, let them try. The end result could be very.... interesting.

It would be intresting and it would keep LoTR from going extinct among fans but what's the point? The original really can't be beat because it won't be original!

What so you mean by it's not original? Do mean because there were other LotR movies before? I think Jackson's movies are really incredibly authentique and it would be difficult to beat it:-/ And a lot of actors are so great in LotR and fit in their role perfectly....

Whoever remakes it will find it hard to come up with a different way around it...if they copy PJ's ideas, we'll notice! If the actors portray the characters the same way as the originals, we'll notice! It would be very hard I think..I don't think anyone can top the best. And the best has been done. Ha.

Yes we think this one is the best, but what if someone had made it differently but still very good? I can't imagine how it would be different but what if?

I guess it's like how people in the 18th century wouldn't believe that cars would exist eventually. I guess it's hard to picture something different that doesnt exist yet!!

PJ's LotR actually isn't the first one. There was an animated one years and years and years ago. It stayed truer to the books, in a way, but it was otherwise pretty awful. Here's a critique: flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/bakshi/bakshi.htm And here are screencaps: flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/bakshi/bakshi.htm DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU, they're pretty scary. Then go onto The Hobbit page, or the RotK page (you can access them at the top of the page) and look at Gollum. My brother and I screamed for five minutes--literally. Also, look at the Wood Elf King--who I assume is Thranduil? Looking at him, I wonder what Legolas would look like?

Hmm, PJ's definitely made them easier on the eye.. I did hear about the animated one, but i don't think animation can compare to real action, as with animation anything can be drawn whereas Jackson and the team had to create it all physically. Arien Elensar-
