Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli did a great job. Just curious: what actors did you not like?

about elijah being too young for frodo, in the book it does say (since frodo's been keeping the ring for about 17 years before going off to mordor) that all hobbits around him thought it very weird that he still looked like he was in his tweens, even though he was approaching 50. so technically... elijah could still be playing a 50 year old guy, because frodo appears not to be any older than about 20 by his looks since the ring makes him stay young.

Well, I'm a person who first watched the movies, so I don't think that some of the actors were chosen wrong or something like that because when I'm reading the books I imagine the characters as they were in the movies...

You should know that Frodo is 33 all the time in the movies... but I thought that all the book fans got well the age difference...

Yes but PJ says it in the FOTR EE, so in the movie Frodo was 33 and I agree, Arien, they were well selected.

I think that the characters were perfect for the cast of LOTR, but then again... I did see the movies before I got into LOTR, and I'm still reading the books... I'm sure I'll probably be agreeing with you guys when I get done reading the books. But I can picture Ian McKellen when I read Gandalf talking, and I picture Elijah Wood when Frodo talks... and I like it that way. So, I guess I don't agree with you two, but it's just my opinion! ;D Yes, exactly. I saw the movies before reading any of the books. Ive read the books twice now, [im reading through 3rd time now], and I must say I thought the movies were brilliantly cast. Who did you have in mind, then, to play the different characters?

I also watched the movies before I read the books. Well, actually I read a small portion of TTT after watching FOTR and then watched the last two movies. I then read the LOTR series and The Silm. I also loved the casting job.
