Oke... I hope I don't get too many angry faces on this... I actually don't want the Hobbit to be a film. The Lord of the Rings was really a masterpiece, and I always think you have to quit when your most succesful. 'Cause if The Hobbit becomes a movie it absolutely can't be as good as Lotr. And then it might be a disappointment. Also, you have the problems with actors. Who'd play Bilbo? It's got to be an other actor then Ian Holm. And Ian Holm makes a perfect Bilbo in Lotr.
(To make it clear: These are my thoughts now, perhaps when the movie comes out I think differently)

I agree that the only person who could play Bilbo is Ian Holm, since he played it in LOTR; but as for the movie being made, it it entirely possible to make The Hobbit. All you need is the same crew as the LOTR, and be careful about the locations; you don't want to have Medusel as, lets say, the kingdom of the Elves. Don't shout at me for saying so, though; I also agree that it would be difficult. Yet there are the LOTR fans that would love for the set to be complete; and that may even include the Silmarillon, though that is not as famous as The Hobbit.

Wanna hear my opinion? I don't want it to be made. I mean, the LotR trilogy was great, and I luv them, but in the end, I was a bit dissapointed. It was a huge project to start on, and you know what? Maybe it could have been better if there wouldn't ever been a Lord of the Rings movie. Cause now there are just few people, that really appreciates the book and don't even care about the movie. Some people say that they're LotR fans, and they haven't even read the book! And some just watch the movie because they love Orlando and etc. Those people don't even care about the rest of the movie. Okay this is little outta subject. But the point is, I hope that there won't even be a Hobbit movie. Just my opinion, so you don't have to kill me for it.
