I think it would make alot of sense to have Legolas in it but I agree as long as he doesn't take the movie then it would just be wierd.but I do hope that they get Orlando to play him because I wouldn't see it if they had someone different play him it would be too wierd.so there you have it

I say give him a cameo in Thranduil's Halls. He would have been there, naturally. But nothing more. I'm not a fangirl, and I don't want to be. Yeah, you have to keep Bloom as Legolas, but, just give him a minor role. I'd be happy if he was seen, and then gone. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I heard some where - an it could have been (and probably was) a lie - but it said that Legolas was gonna be in The Hobbit film and they were inlcuding Arwen in it!! Including Arwen in LotR was bad enough but putting her in The Hobbit would be ridiculous. But like i said, it was probably all made up anyway

i personally love the idea of having Legolas in the Hobbit. Not only do i love him, i also love LOTR and i think it would be a person to be in the hobbit.

I don't think it's necessary to have Legolas in the Hobbit. It would be ruining the true story of the book. We don't need Legolas because it doesn't have anything to do with the story of the Hobbit. Maybe we could see just a little bit of him with Thranduil....but no more. I hope they concentrate on making this one more like the book. An I do agree about Arwen, even though I love her ( in the LotR book of course) you don't need her either in the Hobbit.

i guess it would be fine as long as it's just a cameo...like one second. I don't think i can stand going through the hobbit with crazy fan girls shrieking at one of his lines...which i think he could have done a lot better acting out...like a LOT better ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

It would be easy to get him into it.But I think he could be left out. Ya I know what you mean about people coming for the wrong reason just to see HIM.But also he was never mentioned in the book.So I think just let him remain in LotR.He was good there and that is where he belongs. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) `

I agree with Arsa. I think that he should just have a cameo, i mean even though they didnt mention him in the hobbit, he was in it because he is the son of Thranduil. So i think it would be good if they just maybe showed him like once..but i dont think they should give him a HUGE part.

grr. I think it would be cool to have Legolas in there for like a couple of seconds or something but come on... this is The Hobbit. If they put in major roles for Viggo and Orli then ppl would just go see it so that they can see how prettty Orli looks in it! And the thing about Arwen...I am just praying that it is a rumour!!!

that will be kool to see legolas standing next to his father King Thranduil. ye, i think it would b kool too! ;DBut though,If legolas does make his cameo,it'll only b short, because most of the story would b based on bilbo. So what if legolas is good looking, don't worry about that part.i'm sure alot of people will b more interested in the story than just one person.Plus if girls only see the movie to see legolas..what a waste, thats their own problem, they have to sit through the movie and watch it n e way.Instead of criticising one person we should b excited, but not to to get our hopes high, ,that there might b the making of the Hobbit. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I think it would be great if Legolas was in Mirkwood! just a few seconds though, we don't want a bunch of Orli fangirls fainting, now, do we? then again maybe you do. also another question, who is going to play Thranduil?? Who on earth are they going to get that looks even remotely like Orlando Bloom (assuming that Legolas looks like his dad) because if they didn't get orli to play legolas it would just look... strange.. plus no one would know who it was if they hadn't read the hobbit and lotr thoroughly.

I think they should just show him in the background, in Thranduil's hall and fighting. No major role because he wasn't even mentioned in the hobbit.
