Fight actually kinda sucked. Just because when Strider and Gimli are fighting a whole bunch of Orcs and totally kicking their asses. Then you see Orcs fighting each other in the same scene. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Explain more please. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) That fight was one of the best fights in all of movie history. Yeah, it was hack and slash, but look at everyone that was fighting! What do you think the Battle of Gettysburg was? I have only seen the movie twice, but I never saw orcs fighting one another.

WHAT? That's insane.
But, in my book, By the Sword, written by Richard Cohen, it has some short interview with Liv and she says that she is looking forward to her fight in LOTR, or something like that. I'll find it, then post it here for your reading pleasure.
Geez, what happens, does she just show up out of nowhere or something? Sounds like a Monty Python skit.. LOL! ;D

Yes, PJ and Co were originally going to have Arwen at Helm's Deep. The reason was that they thought that if they didn't have some kind of connection happening between Aragorn and Arwen, the Non-fans ( ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) might not remember Arwen at all by the time ROTK rolled around... So they tried to figure out how to get Aragorn and Arwen together, and the original plan was to have Arwen come along and fight with the Lothlorien Elves. Liv Tyler actully came to the Helm's Deep set, and there is actully some footage of Arwen fighting out there. If you look closely in the movie, you can even SEE Arwen in a very few shots. They soon came to realize that it really wouldn't have worked out, and changed Arwen's story in TTT to what we have today. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

to tell you the truth, i was really disappointed with this battle. it was pretty spectacular to watch. but the differences were just ridiculous. i was glad when i saw the extended version and got to see scenes that should have been there in the first place, but still. the elves showing up was just dumb. killing off haldir was no good in my opinion. and i have MAJOR issues with the shield surfing legolas scene. i thought that was probably the weakest point in the entire movie, visually speaking.
but all the complaints aside, i did like to watch it. it was one of the largest battle scenes in a movie i had ever seen, and was pretty impressive to watch. finding out more about how they shot it made it even better too.
and if they would have thrown arwen in there it would have been awful. im already frustrated with her bit at the river in fellowship of the ring. tossing her in with helms deep would have completely destroyed my chances of liking the scene at all.

And when Legolas at the end killed 43 orcs of something..wouldnt he have kileld more because he was alrady at 19 at the very beginning and then he shot down the orc ladder and that at least killed 50!
