Don't you agree that Boromir has to die a horrible death? This ugly uruk-ai does, as he already has three arrows in his chest stand before him with this ugly smirk and shoots another one. That's so incredibly cruel and mean... ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Now I'm old and my memory isn't quite what it used to be. But in the book Boromir is struck my more than 3 of the arrows, so in the movie he kinda gets of lightly. *sigh* Poor Boromir though. The death scene still chokes me up no matter how many times I watch it.

It's sad, it makes me teary. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) As much as I don't like Boromir at times, all of it gets washed away when I see him die, fighting to the end.

I always feel so sad when poor Boromir dies. It wouldn't be so sad if his death was short, but his death was slow, and he was trying to defend Merry and Pippin. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)

I think Boromir's death was really sad... But that showed his character I think, he died capturing his honor and that was important...

I know, Boromir's death is horrible! Those arrows are so thick! I've always thought his death seemed an honourable warrior's death, sad as it is. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)

I like the nobility in Boromir's death- even after the third arrow he keeps fighting! And he dies like a warrior, with a sword in his hand. *sob* twas a very sad scene...

For me Boromir's death was really horrible, for I love him so much...but he died fighting, trying to protect the hobbits - I liked that, for he had just noticed what he had done wrong. And I loved his last words: "I would have followed you to the end, my brother, my captain, my king." He really realized his mistake about trying to get the ring, and that I liked very much.

Nadana: Yes, I like the little talk he has with aragrn in the end.... An I agree with you all that he died with nobility. He wanted to protect the hobbits and finally saw that he was wrong wanting the ring. But still this uruk ai is so ugly and mean... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

to put it bluntly: all the good people are purdy and the bad people are ugly.
That talk in the end with Aragorn was really nice.
