It's so sad that we can only dream about that...

For me it's gotta be the Argonath, lol I'm such a huge fan!
The Shire of course was extremely well captured, as well as Edoras, Minas Tirith, Rivendell and Lorien in my opinion.
I was also very pleased that they put the Midgewater Marshes scene back in the extended cut, because it looked exactly the way I pictured it when reading the book!

Me too... I miss the elves in this world ... I see them all the time according to our (sweden's) old legends and myths, the mists that cover fields, meadows and lakes in the early mornings or late evenings are actually elven maidens dancing. and i totally believe in that, and always have.

yeah ;D
the legends also say that it is extremely dangerous for young unmarried men to be near an elven-dance as they easily can bring him into their magical dance and make him dance and dance until his life is sucked out of his body.
we also have other woodland nymphs and creatures in our folklore

But I don't know how is it in English, we call them 'samodivi'...

We don't have mythology. Ares is all true facts because our religion is only 500 years old.

Dude! Girl, I wish my religion believed in that! Well I do. it's not really part of our religion, but a part of a folklore that has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years, some goes back to the old Norse mythology which was our religion before christianity took over in the 13th century. The elven maidens that dance upon the meadows and lakes are called "Älvor" (Älva singular) in Swedish. They are smaller (children-size), than woodland elves which are called "Alver" (Alv singular) and are the same type of elves Tolkien used in his world.
