Are you saying in the book Sauron was not just an Eye? I really thought he was! I must have missed that! I'm reading The Silmarillion right now, and ya know, its weird thinking about Sauron being just an Eye because he isn't in The Sil. Every time he (or Galadriel) pops up, I'm happy to see a familiar face again, really. I'm almost finished with The Sil and next comes Akkalabeth (sp?) and Of the Rings of Power and the Third Age. Yee hah! Something I understand a little bit more! lol lol lol lol lol As far as the Nazgul-Eye of Sauron thing, the Nazgul were'nt creepy. The eye wasn't either, but i guess it was less not-creepy. All I can think fo thats REALLY creepy in amovie is Signs (yes, the whole movie, not just part of it. Lotsa banging and scuffling, and many more creepier noises than sniffing Nazgul.) But then, my parents never raelly let me watch PG 13 a lot. Dont laugh, okeez? Rim hennaid! I dont want laughs when I say that. Its embarrassing enough! My mom says teh scariest part was the orcs. What i think is: the orcs are funny most of the time. And then, i havn't seen ROTK yet. I knweo I'm saying taht at every single (maybe) post I post here; to make that up I'll post a huge post in a few months thats called "I SAW ROTK!! HERE'S WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT!!!" Brace yourselves.

Neither are exactly something to have nightmeres about, but it has to be the Ringwraiths

The Nazgul were scary, yes...being an arachnaphobic, Shelob was the worst. I was TERRIFIED!!!! I actually started hyperventilating it was that bad.
Though I do find Sauron a little scary, being a Dark Lord and all, the huge eye didn't make me scared at all...it was a big eye. It's not gonna do much to you unless it falls of Barad Dur and rolls around and squashes things!

I thought y'know the Nazguls was so awesome and like I loved them so I didn't think they were all that scary.....
I thought the Eye was definately cool but in RotK with the little watch light affect, it was just really weird.

I think that the Nazgul were much scarier than the eye. The eye was kind of a joke... not very scary at all.

OMG the nazgul are cool. I totally think the voices are great, and they got that scream perfect absolutly chilling. Even the actors playin them were great - that scene where the hobbits are at the watch tower and the Nazgul come up to them, they even moved creepy!
