Mia glanced from side to side, down the sidewalk and stepped up onto the stairs to her apartment. She opened the door and went inside. She didn't feel hungry so she skipped dinner and went straight to bed. When she laid her head down on the pillow she felt something underneath it. Without lifting her head, she slipped her hand under it and grabbed a small piece of paper. Mia looked at it for awhile and found it was completely blank. She found that strange, but was so tired she could care less. The second time she put her head on her pillow and closed her eyes, she fell right to sleep.

Kali left APO and went home. She unlocked her door and walked inside before heading up to her room and changing her clothes. She brushed her teeth and then went to bed, it took her a while before she was able to fall asleep but eventually she did.

Mia woke up in a startle. She had a really strange dream but she disregarded it and got up to take a shower and get ready for work. When she got to APO they called for a debriefing right away.

Kali awoke the next morning and got dressed for work. She took the train to work and entered APO when she saw Sloane calling for an immediate debriefing. She walked into the debriefing room and took a seat as Sloane began as the rest of the team arrived. Sloane stood up in front of them and began the debriefing.
“At 1300 UTC, three agents of the Central Intelligence Agency were abducted in Berlin. We’ve been able to find out that they were abducted by an organization calling themselves ‘The Mercenaries’, a loose affiliation of German Nationalists, comprised of former Central Committee members, and retired K-Directorate agents; that is the little we know about them. The Mercenaries seem to function much like an organized crime family. The Mercenaries have given us coordinates leading to an abandoned building in Mexico City. There, The Mercenaries say we must retrieve their package, and follow their demands.” Sloane paused. “The CIA has tasked us on taking care of this. They are relying on their black ops agents to bring the CIA agents back and send them back to the CIA.” Sloane said. “I don’t like the idea of sending someone there alone..” Dixon said. “It's doubtful they'd betray us at this stage. Breaking their own rules before we even know their demands would result in a loss of negotiating credibility.” Jack said.

Debriefing room Mia looked back and forth at everyone around the table. "I'll go," she said shortly, interrupting them. Sloane pondered this for a moment, he knew how much Mia wanted to prove herself to everyone, because she still didn't believe anyone trusted her. So after thinking it over he decided to let her go. "All right. Run the optech with Marshall. That's it everyone." Sloane said.
Mexico City: The Warehouse "I'm in the warehouse," said Mia. She looked around, there was nothing inside but a chair and a box on top of it. She approached it, cautiously, then put her latex gloves on. "I've found the box and I'm scanning it for explosives." She took out the scanner and there was nothing. "It's clean," she said into the speaker. She got permission to open it, so she lifted the cover and carefully picked up the bubble wrap, then she starred at it. "Oh God..."

Kali listened to Mia over the comm. "What is it?" Kali asked, at hearing Mia's startled voice.

Mia looked down at the CIA agent head inside the box. She grabbed a piece of paper that was inside the box and studied it. It was in German but she could read it. "I found their demands," she said slowly.

Kali wondered why she had said 'Oh..God'. "What else did you find?" Kali asked over the comm.

"A CIA agents...head," Mia said. She took the piece of paper with her and left the box on the chair.

Kali let out a sigh before taking off her communicator and setting it on the desk as she looked at the others. A few hours later Mia arrived back at APO and Sloane called another debriefing with the list of demands in his possession. "The death of the CIA agent is a great loss, but keep in mind that his colleagues are still alive, and it's our job to bring them home." Sloane said before pulling out the list of demands. "As some of you already know, The Mercenaries have agreed to return our remaining agents in exchange for the release of two prisoners in our custody. This exchange has already been approved by Langley." Sloane said. "Who are the prisoners?" Kali asked. "Mr. Sark..." Sloane said. "Well, doesn't this seem familiar." Kali muttered, this entire situation was exactly like what had happened with The Covenant. Then she realized that Sloane hadn't said who the other prisoner was, but Dixon got to it before her. "You said there were two prisoners they wanted. Who is the other?" Dixon asked. Sloane's gaze drew to Kali, and she had the most uncomfortable feeling, but she didn't know why. "The Mercenaries...they believe that Tara Reid is in jail." Sloane said. Kali's mouth practically dropped open. "You cannot be serious." She said dropping her pen on the table in disbelief. "Given the situation, as difficult as it might be, The Mercenaries have provided us with something we must act on. They will kill the other two CIA agents if we don't give in to their demands. And with this situation, you would be able to infiltrate The Mercenaries organization, and work as a double agent within it." Sloane said. "Uh huh..and what about Sark? Is he just going to 'work with us'?" She asked. "Since you will be with him, working as his partner, you would be able to keep an eye on him at all times. I've already confirmed it with Director Chase, she's letting your restraining order you put on yourself get broken for this assignment." Sloane said. "I can't be with Sark 24/7. He could escape at any time." She said. "That's why we are putting a tracker on him. A passive tracker, when The Mercenaries sweep you for trackers, which I am sure they will, they won't find it on him. We'll be able to locate Sark that way if he does intend to escape." Sloane said. "We can't trust Sark. Sark could give me up at any time. Then what am I supposed to do?" Kali asked. "If Sark gives you up, he knows the consequences you will face. The Mercenaries will kill you. But given your history with Sark..do you really think he would give you up?" Sloane asked. Kali sighed. "I don't know" She said before Sloane began to speak again. "The exchange is going to be made in Moscow. The Mercenaries have set the time, it's to be at night, and they gave us the location. We'll be leaving in the next hour. So I suggest you all prepare for the exchange." Sloane said dismissing the team. Kali sat in her seat for a moment before standing up and leaving the debriefing room. She didn’t like this at all.

Carly sighed as she walked out of the debriefing room. She didn't trust Sloane's decision. But that was of course an effect of her distrust of Kali. She didn't like the former Covenant agent. She sighed again, for she knew that she couldn't do anything about.
Rick walked over to her and smiled. "Hey." She looked at her husband and smiled. "Hey, Rick." "Carrie's kinda having her hands full with Ash and Meg." She chuckled and said, "Arguing, eh?" "Yep...I swear, they take after your sisters..."

Jack and Marshall made their way to Sark's cell. After Jack told Sark about the situation he would be apart of, he nodded to Marshall to inject the tracker. A nervous Marshall made his way closer to Sark within the cell, clutching a box. "Hi.." Marshall said giving him a slight wave. When Sark only looked at him, Marshall moved closer and took out the injector. "Um. Okay, this thing, the tracker, it might hurt a little bit 'cause it's small but it's not really that small...you know? So yeah..it might sting a bit." Marshall said. Marshall's forehead was covered in sweat as he took another step closer and injected Sark with the tracker in his neck. He must have expected an 'ow' out of Sark, but when there was no noise Marshall looked up at him. "Wow..you're..you're tough." Marshall said, before Jack led him out of the room.
Moscow: Alley Two APO vans pulled up to the alley, it was raining, and it was completely dark, but the APO agents were still able to make out the figures of two cars pulling up on the other side of the alley, a little ways back. They were part of The Mercenaries organization. Carly, Nadia, Mia, and Sydney got out of each of the two vans. "Each side is allowed no more than a five man cover team." Carly said to one of the other random APO guards. Kali and Sark were still seated within the van, Kali had been dressed in a blue jumpsuit so it would look more realistic, and she had been chained just as Sark had. "Do you mind shedding a little light on this, Sark?" Kali said, clearly annoyed. "On the reason as to why this organization wants us?" She asked. "I assure you, this organization, The Mercenaries, is as much a mystery to me as it is to you. I can't possibly imagine why they'd want to make this trade for us." Sark said. "Then I suppose we're about to find out." She said.

Carly got into the van after reaching the spot She got the two out of the van, making sure they were secure. She saw the Mercenaries signal that it was time for the exchange. They led out the two CIA agents and she uncuffed Sark and Kali, and led them out.

Sydney watched anxiously as Carly led Sark and Kali. She knew that if Sark was involved, something bad was going to happen. Sydney wrapped her hand on her gun. For some reason, it gave her some comfort knowing that she was armed and Sark was not.

After Carly un-cuffed Sark and Kali they began walking down the alley alone towards The Mercenaries, as the two CIA agents walked toward the APO agents. "Need I remind you?" Sark asked her as they continued walking. "Remind me of what?" She asked. "You and I had a...reputation; certain intimacies were public knowledge. We must maintain appearances.." Sark said. "You wish.." She said. He began to put his hand onto her back, before she grabbed it and twisted it to the side. "You touch me, I break your arm." She said thrusting it away from her. He smirked before putting his arm around her, again. "Except your actions would tip off our friends over there. And that wouldn't look so good to them, now would it?" He said. She sighed, he was right. She could do nothing, or it would blow her cover. "You do know I'm going to get you for this, right?" She muttered. "I'm not worried in the least, love." He said. She rolled her eyes; this was going to be a difficult time for her, being around Sark all the time now.
The CIA agents passed Kali and Sark and made it back safely to the APO agents as Kali and Sark made it to The Mercenaries. The exchange had been made.
