Okay...there are a couple of 24 fans on this forum, so me and a few others decided to make an RPG. This is how it's going to work. 24 is a show that takes place in real time. We're going to have one thread per hour so everyone can take part in the same hour. After the hour is over I'll delete the thread and copy the stuff into a new thread--the next hour. So on each thread we'll have what we did on the other threads and then the new hour will start. Does that make sense to you? Probably not. Oh well, you'll get it when I do it.
Okay, as you know if you watch the show, the clock is always ticking. In the middle of your post you can do a clock--this is the format for the clock. 12:00 AM Just make sure the time makes sense. You can't have Jack fly to Washington D.C. in five minutes. Which is why we won't have him do anything like that because it'll take up a looooong time.
These are the characters we need.
Chloe O'Brian Taken by Elvawen
Haren Kashir (terrorist)
Jack Bauer
Kim Bauer Taken by Tamuril
Tony Almeida
Michelle Dessler
Any other terrorists...
The following takes place between 12 AM and 1 AM. Events occur in real time.
Midnight. Chloe O'Brian walked nervously into Counter Terrorist Unit. It was midnight! Why had Michelle called her in? Something about a briefing...terrorists? She had been too tired to listen.
Michelle and Tony were standing at a desk, arguing as usual. Michelle turned and said something to Edgar, who was working at his computer. He nodded. Chloe walked over to Michelle.
"Um, sorry if I'm...interrupting anything, but has Edgar given you those system updates yet?"
Michelle glanced at Edgar. "No."
Chloe handed her a disk. "Here they are." Michelle frowned.
"Did Edgar give you these?"
"Um. No, I did them myself..." Chloe bit her tongue.
"Chloe! I asked Edgar to do them! He's perfectly capable."
"Apparently not."
"Chloe, you have to do your job. If no one does what they're supposed to do we're going to miss something important."
"Fine. Whatever. What about that briefing, anyway?"
Michelle looked at her watch. "Ten minutes."
Chloe rolled her eyes and walked over to Station 7, as far away from Edgar as she could possibly get. She saw Tony turn to Michelle.
"She was just trying to help!" Chloe sighed and didn't listen anymore.
12:13 AM
Chloe took her place in the conference room. Michelle stood at the head of the table looking very serious. Apparently everyone was nervous except Chloe. She reasoned that that was because they all knew what was going on—they had listened to the phone call from Michelle. Chloe tried to remember what she had said but came up with nothing.
"As you now know," Michelle said, "the White House has just suffered a plane crash."
"What?" Chloe started and blurted out the word accidentally. Oops. She was supposed to know already.
"Chloe, were you even listening when I called you 20 minutes ago?"
"I was tired," Chloe confessed.
"Well, let's hope you aren't too tired to do what we need you to do," said Tony.
"Was the President hurt?" Chloe asked.
"No. He wasn't there. Chloe, we need you to access the satellite images and see the extent of the damage."
"Yeah. How did this happen anyway? All overpassing planes are to be shot down!"
"The guns malfunctioned. We don't think this was a coincidence. Terrorists may be involved. Chloe—the images."
"Yeah, I'm on it. I need an exact time frame and the codes."
"11"45 PM – Satellite 8195202 over WDC. Access code 51g95fi7.
12:24AM
Chloe typed quickly. Finally she accessed the satellite images. She clicked "Frame-by-frame" and gasped in horror.
"Oh, my God. Tony, come here!" Tony looked at the images.
"Oh God. Chloe, can you get the flight path and number of that jet?"
"Yeah, give me a sec, okay?"
"Yeah."
Chloe called LaGuardia airport in New York—apparently the passenger jet had left from there. They informed her that the airporst were shutting down and that the jet was scheduled to depart at 10:30 PM and land at the National Airport in Washington at midnight. It had crashed into the White House after the guns that were supposed to shoot down all overpassing planes malfunctioned.
"Who was piloting the plane?"
"A man named Robert Mitchell, supposedly."
"Thanks." Chloe hung up the phone and went back to the meeting room with Tony.
(OOC--I have to wait a while for people to start posting, Alatariel's waiting until she sees the next episode so she can get to know her character better, and Tamuril is going to be back on sometime next week.)
