The last corsair fell as Earenion's sword went through its chest. He dropped the body in disgust and wiped its blade on its coat. He asked, "We should find something to eat. Even if its Corsair food. I'm famished. The others agreed and they began to fan out in search of food. Earenion traveled with Arva and Corwin down a passageway. "Nice work back there you two." "Same to you." Arva replied. "Too bad I was wounded in the leg. Otherwise I would have helped you." "Don't worry about it. If you're wounded then you're wounded." They searched the room thoroughly and left and returned to the dining room now littered with corsair carcasses. Elananna shouted from another room. "We've found the food." "Lets go eat." Earenion followed the voice of Elananna to a room, quite big, and leaned against the corner.

ooc: you're not supposed to play other peoples' characters- i.e. making up responses to your questions/statements. just a note 4 the future ;D

I don't understand why not. Without it you'll just get an rp full of one liners... not a decent rp. You can't get the story moving and its boring reading one liners for 10 pages. If not though then i can just post stupid one liners all the time. Like Earenion killed a corsair with an arrow. How boring don't you think?

ooc: no, you're just supposed to wait- out of politeness- for the other people to choose how their characters will respond. And it doesn't have to be one line, necessarily. I've had responses that morph into three-paragraph posts, without touching someone else's character. it really does work out.

Corwin looked forward to the meal, his stomach grumbled hungerly. "I'm starving!" He said and headed into the room.

Arva began opening and closing cabinets and drawers, pulling out whatever was edible and whatever could be eaten on. She laid out plates on the rough table and started a small fire in the galley stove. "Stew, anyone?" she asked as she poured chopped carrots, cooked meat, onions, and various other foods into the now-boiling water.

Earenion's stomach grolwed loudly as he watched Arva pour the contents into the boiling water. Meanwhile he picked at his bread. "So... whats next?

"Judging by the number of ships in port, I'm guessing that this is the Havens of Umbar, far south of Gondor." Corwin leaned back against the wall. "We can assume that we killed the crew aboard this ship, but what about the others. I'm sure that the pirates bragged about getting live captives." His brow furled in thought. " They may come soon to see why there are no sailors on deck. We must be ready for them." His eyes turned to Arva and then to Earenion. A smile crept across his face. " I for one am curious to see Umbar, port of the Black Numenoreans." He walked over to where the bodies lay. " Their clothing could be used as a suitable disguise." He turned to Earenion. "What do you think?"

OOC: So sorry for not responding - my computer crashed. But I'm back now!
Laowyn peered at the bodies on the floor, nudging one with her foot. Something didn't feel right. She watched the others eat for she had no stomach for food herself despite the day's trials.
Her eyes scanned the room, searching for the source of her ill ease but to no avail. Everything seemed normal - or normal enough - on the ship. But something was wrong, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
Corwin's voice brought her back to the room. "What? Disguise?" She smiled thopughtfully. "I don't see why it couldn't work."

Marawyn was eating her stew. She was starving. She had a slight cut across her cheek that was healing. Everyone was talking about their plans. Marawyn just wanted to go home, but realized that that was not an option. She missed Gondor and her father. She began to hum an old Gondorian song to herself...

Corwin cut the clothes from a fews of the Corsairs. Their garments consisted of black clothe. He donned one over his other clothing and put a partial viel across his face. Underneath it he smiled, "Come on, me hearties!" He said in a bad imitation of exaggerated sailor talk. He threw some garments to the others and strapped a sailors scimitar to his waist. He still wore his sword but it was beneath the heavy black vestaments of the sailors. "Come on, get the stuff on before the corsairs arrive!"

Oblivous to what was going on a hooded girl watched them quietly from a hidden post. nothing could be seen about her except for her gleaming silver eyes and the long black cloak she wore. she moved absolutly silent as she followed Corwin and the others out of couriosity. she grew very hot and removed her hood for a moment. Her pale skin contrasted sharply against her black hair and her angled features gave her an unhuman look. indead her ears were delicutly sculpted to points. around her eyes was a black mask with silver ruins enscribed upon it in an ancient language with a small silver star in the corner of her eye. fixing her hair she put the hood back up and continued.

Arva slipped into the gear. She looked at herself and frowned. The clothes all fell off her too-small frame, and there was no time to sew herself new ones, nor alter these. She put on her cloak, and slipped a chain around her waist. She handed one end to Corwin. "Pretend you captured me. If need be, 'sell' me as a slave. I may be able to find out information that you wouldn't. But the corsair clothes won't fit me."
