Corwin turned back to see Arva limping. He ran back to her, his eyes concerned. " I did not know your leg was hurt. Here." He held out his hand to support her.

"No, no, not my leg, my ribs." Silmeriel said, with a slight laugh that turned into a wince. "I'm fine, really, with my glaive. And I have healing magic, I'll heal as we go along."

"Alright." Corwin set out at a slightly less strenuous pace.

Silmeriel noticed, and smiled thankfully. She was in more pain than she let on. She continued onward.

(Can I join?) Name: Lindelwen Race: Elf Age: 2,000 Occupation: Ranger Description: 5'9" Tall, long dirty blonde hair, wearing torn ranger clothes (that is all I could think of...)
Lindelwen jumped down from the tree behind the group. "Simeriel? Is that you?" she said noticing her friend. "What happened?"

"I have comprehension, but my tongue tends to get twisted around the words." He smiled and bowed, managed to get his sword twisted in his legs and fell to the ground. His smile almost broke his face in half

"Well, I am just getting used to speaking elvish fluently again and tend to get mixed up as well. Although I am quite skilled with being clumsy." she said helping him to his feet.

"Oh, come on, Lindelwen, you know you've got nothing on my clumsy skills." Silmeriel joked, limping over. Her limp was lessening- she was healing.

"Oh yes, I am not as good as you in being clumsy." she said jokingly. "How's your leg?' she asked noticing Simeriel limping less.

Her silver eyes gleamed as she watched them. they were so... happy, peaceful. A translucent tear slide down her shadowy face as she turned and drifted away. she knew she got what she deserved. ghosts were bound for eternal life in the form of torture, and as she saw these people she once counted friends she knew why Morgoth had not let her pass into the Halls, not that she would be welcomed there anyway. she dropped to her knees, not rusling the thick bed of leaves beneath her. herbody shook with silent sobs and tears darkened her gown, making her less see through, but still not entirly there.

Melarë was vaguely aware of someone standing over her, chanting softly. A soft hand held hers. But she could not open her eyes, and she could not move. It terrified her, trapped inside a world of shadow. She knew who was beside her: her mother. But as badly as she wanted to cry out, she had no strength. It felt like being slowly crushed under a suffocating weight. Unconsciousness was better than this living torture, and so she succumbed.
"Her breath has gone cold!" Annariel cried, putting her hands to her daughter's forehead. "Melarë, you must fight it!" Her eyes filled with tears. Her husband came to stand next to her and put his hand on his wife's shoulder. Annariel wept into the bedcovers.
"What cruel fate has come upon us now?" she sobbed. "How many more of us will succumb?"
"With caution, none. All but those appointed have been forbidden to go beyond the doors. By the grace of the Valar! I hope they fulfill their quest, or there will be sorrow in Thingol's halls."
