Silmeriel thought quickly. "Once we get out of this, I can start teaching you, though you may want to learn how to use a staff, too. For now, just keep low and try not to move until I let you know it's safe." She took up her bow and selected the same arrow that would have been used on Synariel had she been a foe. The clop-clop of the horse's footsteps grew closer, then stopped- which could only mean one thing. Whoever was riding it was now going to search for them on foot. Silmeriel sighed. *why do i always need to use the one thing that always gets me turned away?* She rose out of the tree, hovering just out of sight and sound of those on the path below. She looked down, trying to see who was following them, bow still drawn.

The noise was comming closing at a significan't pace, and so was the one who was making it. Synariel couldn't see Silmeriel anymore through the cracks in the tree. She felt herself stop breathing again as the unknown drew near. Suddenly she jumped out of the tree. "Linwe!" she she called gladly!"

Silmeriel was startled to see the rider, leaning low over her horse's back, galloping frantically toward a no-longer-hiding Synariel. She dove, spiraling down to land in front of a surprised Synariel and a mysterious rider.

"Oh Synariel it's just you!" Linwe said, relieved. She patted her horse on the shoulder. "Astaldo was worried." Linwe exclaimed with a laugh. "It's good to see you my friend. How have you been?"

"I've been lucky," Synariel said hugging her friend, "As well as blessed. I've just made a new friend." She turned and pointed to Silmeriel. "She's also on her way to Rivendell."

Golweneth walked through the trees, meditating on her thoughts of the past. She stopped as she overheard voices talking. Cautiously, she moved closer gripping her dagger. She was anxious to see who would be wandering the woods of Lorien.

(sure u can join!) "Mae govannen, Linwe. What brings you here today? Are you travel-"she halted abruptly. "You two keep talking like nothing's wrong. I heard something and I want to see what it is." She crept off in the direction of the noise she'd heard. Rising up into the sky again, she peered down and saw a girl, clutching a dagger. She landed in a nearby tree, drew her bow, and shouted, "Up here!"

(is that me??? If so here's my post)
Elenanna muttered curses as she looked at the girl. She sighed and put her dagger back in its sheath and dropped from the tree. "I am sorry about that. But my mother had asked me to keep an eye on any thing going on here."

(sure everybody can join) Silmeriel looked down at the girl who had spoken to her. "Aaye, Eleanna. It's alright. I understand. I have to do something though. May I leave you with my other companions while I finish up?" Silmeriel directed her to the rest of the group still on the path. After some short introductions, she flew off again to where she had last seen the girl- Ranger-like girl, she thought.

Golweneth heard someone shout, "Up here!" and that's when she spotted Silmerial. However, she had not noticed Silmerial hide behind some trees. Silmerial slowly apporached Golweneth from behind. Before Silmerial could point her arrow, Golweneth (the elven-ranger) turned around quickly with her dagger. Silmerial reacted just as quickly by grabbing the arrow in her hand and pointing it at Golweneth's throat while Golweneth pointed her dagger at Silmerial's side. Noticing that Silmerial was an elf, Golweneth stopped the attack and pulled herself away. "You are a strong warrior. It is good to have more warriors in this land as the world around us has grown dark and full of fear. What brings you to Lothlorien, friend?" asked Golweneth.

"I have business with Elrond. And you, too, seem a fearsome warrior, mellon. What brings you to Lothlorien?" replied Silmeriel, still wary. This girl told the truth, but that didn't mean anything until she told the truth of her purpose.
