Actually...just because something IS one way, that doesn't mean it ought to be that way. So just because someone bashed your favorite books doesn't mean you should take your revenge by bashing her favorite books. You'll get your point across better if you stick to certain issues you have with the books instead of making sarcastic comments about them.

I can and i will make sarcastic comments about it.....but sorrys anyways. I just read an interview with JK rowling and here is what she had to say9some of the interview)
Harry: How do you feel when people associate your books with Lord of the Rings? Jk: I think that it is very..well...people have different opinions. If people think I copied off JRR Tolkien, than people have the right to think that. But, if people say my books are just as great as Lord of the Rings, than i am very happy.
Harry: What do you want to say to all the people who don't like your books because they think you copied off of Tolkien? JK: Well then I feel very sorry for those people. They just must be very big Lord of the Rings fanatics. Some of them(I'm not saying all) but some of them might think that my books might be better than Lord of the Rings one day, so they try to find reasons why it can't be. For those people i feel very sorry for, but I don't think my books are going to be any better than Tolkien one day, so I think people can stop this nonsense about my copying off his books.

LotR wont "fade out" for the true fans. Only for the media and the "poser" fans Waht i mean is in a year all teh obsessions will fade out, but no it wont be completely overwith

Addendum to last post: all the LotR websites will be gone? Oh really. I'm planning on keeping mine up, FYI. *~Arwen~* Thats what you think now but probably in a year or so, youll get tired or something, and not update as often. What you think now is not what you will think in a year or so, things can change.

And,FYI, thats how i deal with things like this, If my point doesn't get across one way, i take anotehr way. And just because you dont like the way i do it, doesnt mean i have to stop

Good idea lol Yeah, it really upsets me when people compare HP to LOTR, and they say that JKR copied off of Tolkein, god I hate that !! First of all as Jenny said every writer works off of eachother and if you actually take a SECOND to think about it HP is nothing alike, HP is about a young boy who is destined to destroy the man who killed all the decent family members he had while on the way he meets alot of new kids his age while a attending a school for magic, now LOTR on the other hand is about a hobbit who's basically thrown into the whole ring of doom situation and basically has no other choice but to destroy the ring, but he is accompanied by those few who are willing to risk their lives for the safety of the ringbarer. Now I will admit I am more of a LOTR then a HP, but still I personally suggest why don't those few of you who say such ridiculous things about HP and JKR actually read the books (and not judge JKR based on the movies) before saying such childish comments.
