Kyly, I just looked through your source code, to see if there was something in there making your links open new windows. I don't see anything, so I don't know why it is doing that. You may want to look into it and do some searches on that. You own Yavanna? Cool! You might think about having an "about me" page and placing the link there instead. It might make for a little easier navigation. Allright Melian, First off, I think you update pretty often. So don't worry too much about that. After all you're only human. You are aren't you? LOL. #1Overall I like the layout. Pj is so silly looking! One thing about the heading image though. It looks like you're using Verdana for the navigatin text. Am I right? Well, it's rather large and bold. Next time you might try a smaller version of the sae font or even the font you have for your title. #2 The text in your tagboard is larger then that of your updates. I would make it the same size, just so it doesn't stand out too much. #3 Navigation isn't clickable. I can't get to any other page of your site. This is probably because I am on a Mac and you probably created your site using something specificly for windows. Main things to do- •If you can, try to make your site Mac friendly. I'm just one of a very small percentage of people so I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to. •Make your navigation text a little smaller. Other then that. Very nice! ;D

I'm only doing LotR related sites for now Legendel, so I will give some tips for your balrog site but you can probably apply some of these tips to both sites. #1 You should seriously consider a more graphically designed layout, a nice fiery blended layotu of Balrogs would be extremely awsome! #2 I love that you have media for the balrogs. That is very uncommon and makes your site unique. A couple things regarding this section though. • I noticed one of your wallpapers was from shipofdreams.net and I don't know if you made any of the others but if you didn't it is always nice to provide a linked credit to the site where you found it. This shows that you appreciate other's works and it will incline your visitors to do the same for you. • Your first banner is good and a nice size but the rest seem to be just pics, no blending, or anything involved. Why not try and make or collect some more banners (with permission of course) and have them more banner-like. Does that make any sense? LOL... I have weird ways of saying things sometimes. #3 All your info "On Screen" and "Info on Balrogs" was really good and very simple to understand. That's always a plus! Maybe you could give references to where you got the info from (i.e. The Silmarillion, FotR EE, etc...). #4 Make sure you get all the accent marks on Tolkien's words and names etc... and be sure to go through and clean up any little typos. Remember, Feanor is correctly spelt Fëanor. Most people will just gloss over this. Besides, people know what you "mean." But, Tolkien was very in to his language and would probably like to see more people using it properly. LOL. My site was once called "Middle Earth." So, all you've go some really good content, you just need to make it stand out more! You can always look to other sites for ideas on other things you could add as well, make some Balrog quizzes, add some games, or anything. A site can always expand. Some interactivity would add to your site! Now, here are the main things to do. 1) Get a layout! I can imagine something really awsome with fire, orange, and balrogs! Hopefully, your host will let you do this, if not then look into getting hosted or moving the site to a new server. 2) Make your site more interactive, a tagboard(or saybox), a guestbook, maybe a forum, games, contests... Be creative! I hope this has helped you. May the Balrogs live on!

okie dokie. • Elgato, the first thing I notice about your site is the background. It is cool, of course, (it has Elijah wood! ) but it's very distracting from the text and makes it hard to read. • Your site seems to be set for a fixed screensize, but there are no scrollbars??? So, half of the site gets cut off for me. •You should really look into getting a layout. You've got the Elijah theme going on but every page is different and it seems a little smashed together. Your content is good, love the fan art. You really need to just focus on the layout so that people will be more attracted to the site. If a site is really attractive people will want to stick around and check out the content. Main things to do- #1 Work on a layout for all the pages. Look into iframes if you can, you'll find they make life a lot easier. #2 resize the site. little things- maybe a few more various sizes of link codes would be helpful. 100x35 is most common. I really love the current ones! Hope this helps!!! Aredhel, good title! It's nice to see someone focusing more on Tolkien then PJ. • First thing. You've got a nice color scheme going on with simple, crisp, and clean graphics. That's nice, but your heading image should possible be bigger. Right now, at it's current size, the black background ends up surrounding it and it looks a bit out of place. Try making one 700pixels in width, possibly a bit bigger. • Such a common mistake nowadays, Middle-earth is what Tolkien invented. There is no such thing as Middle-Earth, Middle earth, or Middle Earth!!! Please edit this in all sections of your site. Tolkien was very in to language and would not be happy to see this error occuring so often around the net. Pick up any book written by Tolkien and you will see. •I'm not sure about the black background. It makes the forum seem too dark. Maybe a darker blue like that of your heading image would work, or maybe even a matching flower background. • Other then those two things you have a great start for a forum, though you could always branch out and begin adding codes etc and making special images to replace the standard proboards ones. Main things to work on- #1 heading image needs to be longer #2 Fix the Middle-earth typo. I hope your forum gets a good start! Good luck!

Thank you, Frodofan. I don't know how I let that 'Middle-earth' thing get past me, as it usually bothers me, too! Thank you for the advice!

Everything is in iframes! I made the scrollbars invisble. I thought it looked better. The scrollbar in Mozilla looks ugly in my opinion. Thanks for the tips.

Elethwen, I hate to say this, but I can't give you a review. The only thing that loads is the tagboard, absoloutly none of the images load. I don't know why, but you definently want to look into that. Enwiriel, always remember to put the url down correctly. www.geocities.com/kontu_hobitin_kolo/index.html Remember, it is a / not a . A couple of carrots! Not bad, though I can't read your language. So I will just comment on the layout. It's good, especially for a start. If I were you I'd make a nice blended banner for the top, as it is plain white right now. Then I'd see if you can't make the cell padding 0, as well as the border. That will eliminate those bulky grey bars, which take away from the rest. All and all it is a nice clean set up, which is good. I noticed the nice leafy images in your navigation, maybe you could make the background of that cell match the background of the leaf images? You could also add some fun content like games and such, maybe a gallery. The main things are- • try and get rid of the big grey bars • Get a nicely blended heading image, with the title of the site. I hope this helps you out!

You could host all your images somewhere else (like photobucket.com). Geocities, depsite what a lot of people have been saying, is quite a good host. I recomend it.
