Entirely too many Elves to choose from. I like so many of them. Gil-galad has long been a fascination of mine. Of course, I've heard three different translations of his name...

Why is Fêanor the favourite elf for so many? I don't like him at all! In fact, sometimes I want to throw the book away when I'm reading about him!

My favourite is Gil-Galad Eregnion,
Gil-Galad was an elven king, of him the harpers sadly sing, the last who's realm was fair and free, between the mountains and the sea.

People like Feanor, I think, because he is such complex character, with so many different facets. He could be evil, he did great things. Evil, but great.

Missed the poll somehow. Oh well.
Feanor is so fascinating. Some things make him seem more flawed and human, but he's hardly what you'd call easy to relate too. He leaves me a little in awe (and horror) at the same time.
And his sons . . . hmm. Maedhros and Maglor are the only ones I can sympathize with. Amrod and Amras don't have enough of a part to get my attention. I don't like the three Cs, however I think they're not as flat characters as they look (and nobody is) but I'll save the groundless speculation for some time when I'm awake to think it out.
I like Fingolfin, Fingon, and Beleg, but I don't have much to say about them for now.

Aredhel, a sad sad story... Maedhros is still my fav...OOH and Fingon, those two were like brothers, better in fact... Oh, and Maglor...I like Feanorians...(is that a word?) I feel so sorry for the last surviving son of Feanor.

Fingolfin, definately the one of those you've picked for the poll... I was amazed by him in front of Angband when he fought with Morgoth, fell three times BUT stood up again every time!!!
