......that celeborn left at the grey havens at the same time as galadriel but he didnt in the books? or am i just imaging things.... why did they have to change such a tiny thing?? why would they put celeborn there in the movie?

I noticed that too. I don't really know why. He leaves a couple years after Galadriel. He first helps rebuild Mirkwood with Thranduil. Maybe they didn't want to confuse audiences unfamiliar to the book or it seemed better to them some how?

Yup, I think so too.... It is a symbol that the Elven kin leaves for the Undying Lands led by Galadriel and Celeborn. They are a majestic couple and visually it looks really good plus movies work with other means of communication and tends to simplify things.

I also think that for the more nit-picky movie-watchers, they would be "Huh? Why didn't Celeborn leave with his wife?" And it just gets too complicated...

think about how many fans the movie has generated.
If not for the movies I know we would all not be here.
It has been a great storm, and it's deflated, but we are in this for the long haul
