I missed Beregond. He played a huge role in the book, and it sux that they couldn't add him in.

back to the thread at hand... I missed loads from the book... where to begin...
1: Prince Imrahil... he was one of my favourite characters... he was hard as nails. 2: the Dunedain and Elrond's sons. 3: Eowyn, Faramir love scenes 4: Houses of Healing 5: Beregond and Bergil 6: Dernhelm 7: Ghan-Buri-Ghan 8: Death of Saruman 9: Denethor's Palantir 10: when Eomer sees Theoden and Eowyn fallen on Pelennor and he drives the Rohirrim onto unsurpassable feats in battle. 11: so much more of Mordor 12: the scouring of the shire... (but not that much really) 13: how the dead army actually only destroyed the crews on the corsairs ships... not the armies at Pelennor... i would of liked to see all the ppls of places like Belfalas, Lossarnach, Dol Amroth join their King and the Dunedain to victory!!! 14: mouth of Sauron 15: confrontation between Angmar and Gandalf
but other than that it was a good film! lol

when they make movies out of books, they always cut stuff out. they missed alot of stuff but at the end Eowyn and Faramir kinda smiled at eachother.

The Scouring of the Shire(the Battle of Bywater), Eowyn and Faramir, the Palantir, Ghan-Buri-Ghan, the Houses of Healing, the Mouth of Sauron (which was pretty cool, and almost a little funny!), Glorfindel (oh, wait- that's FOTR! Well, it still must be said......), and yeah... maybe not putting in the Scouring of the Shire was okay. But thet should NOT have "dismissed Saruman as being harmless" (I like they way taht was put!) and someone PLEEEEEEASE tell me why PJ didn't make Eowyn be Dernhelm for a while! I liked finding out "he" was Eowyn, even if it did have that MacBeth kinda thing to it (the Lord of the Nazgul says "Thou fool! No living man may hinder me!" Then Eowyn says "But no living man am I! You look upon a woman, Eowyn Eomund's daughter!" or something. I loved that part! It would have made a great excerpt for an ROTK book review if it didn't give away so much!)
Nasssssssty. Namarie!

I really missed the part where Eowyn adn Faramir kissed on the wall. I missed that soooo badly. I am a complete sap and they are such a good couple. That had better be in the EE. grrrrr... I also wanted to see how they did the Scouring of the Shire, but then I was sorta glad they took it out. It would have been too depressing to see it on big screen.

I missed Ghan-buri-ghan and the houses of healing, I wish they would have put more of the poems into the movie because I really enjoy Legolas' poem at the end the "To The Sea" poem (I don't know if anyone else missed a poem out of the book, but i did ) To the Sea, to the Sea! The white gulls are crying, The wind is blowing, and the white foam flying. West, west away, the round sun is falling. Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling, The voices of my people that have gone before me? I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me; For our days are ending and our years failing. I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing. Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling, Sweet are the voices in the Lost Isle calling, In Eressëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover, Where the leaves fall not: land of my people for ever!

Definitely. They took the one really strong love in the movies, and left it out, while adding to one that wasn't quite so prominent. I missed Beregond, and The Houses of Healing, and the confrontation between Gandalf and Saruman, and Denethor's palantir, and then they went and made Denethor seem far too evil.
